Final Fantasy is cool, but I don't like the 'future' angle all that much.

I like dragons, plate armor, olde english, stuff like that....

Dragon Warrior III (NES) is my favorite of all-time. I thought they couldn't top the original, especially when 'II' I didn't like as much as the first....but 'III' seemed like they just got EVERYTHING right. *

*- Exception being that III takes place before I (I think) and they talked 'olden' in the first and 'modern' in the third....so they pretty much went ass-backwards as far as language goes in the games (Enix translator dummies!). I might be confusing this for the fourth game...hopefully not. 'IV' is excellent also, and it's a shame II - IV aren't that easy at all to find! Paid like $22 for II, $50 each for III and IV...and I got I for free (Nintendo Power subscription bonus).

I love the Lunar series (true, not a very long-running series, but hey). I think Lunar: SSS is one of the best games of all time, as it stands well against others of the time and of today. Some of the best story-telling I've ever read/heard, and some of the funniest little phrases in the world (Sybilliem Sword: Hiro let's rip a wind bomb LOL ). Great game all around. I don't even play RPGs really, and it's one of my fav games.

Final Fantasy, of course, is still my all time favorite series. Lunar comes second, and then the Suikoden series.

I also enjoy the Dragon Warrior and Wild Arms series.
