What's it worth? US Turbo Duo

I recently acquired a minty US Duo that works great and is in good condition. It came with two different pc engine to tg16 hu card adapters and the original hookups and controller. I figure the Duo is worth 200ish, but what about the import adapters? Sadly the only game I received with it was Keith Courage. heh.

The duo is worth about 300.00. As for the adapters, I'd imagaine about 50.00 each.

Probably worth closer to $200 than $300, I think. Not sure what adapters are worth these days, though.

Have the capacitors been replaced? If not, even if it's working fine now it will need repairs somewhat soon. Those capacitors always seem to fail, mostly with playing CD audio. How do you know it works great if you only have Keith Courage? You need to test the CD drive too with a disc based game.

As for the import adapters, it depends on which ones they are. Some are worth more than others due to rarity.

I've had several Japanese Duo's, and have a few import super cds I tested on the system. When I get a chance I'll post pics of the import adapters. One of them I'm told is a pretty common adapter, the other is kinda big and bulky.

That one's the Purple Barney adapter. As long as it hasn't been cut to fit into the Turbo Duo port because it was made for the Turbo Grafx 16, they run from $30.00 to $40.00 depending on if they have the box and the label wear. I actually need one of those too. LOL

The second one, on the other hand, I have never actually seen. Does it fit the Turbo Duo Hu Card slot, or is this another Turbo Grafx adapter. Either way, it's worth around the same as the other one. The expensive adapters are referred to as "Springboards" because they are generally long and stick out of the actual system a bit of a way. They also generally are flat and have no housing. Red or Green they usually fetch between $60.00 and $80.00.

Sadly it's been taken apart/cut open to fit the Duo. The other one has not, as the guy i got it from used it with his turbo express.

If it's been cut, around $15.00 to $20.00. If you end up selling it, please let me know because it is still functional, just not pretty. LOL

200ish for the duo should be doable. It's somewhat wasteful on the buyer's end if they spend more than that, especially without converter, since Japanese duos pre-modded with hucard switch and RGB can be found under $300.
