I'm considering buying this game. However after the disappointment that was Sonic 4, I'm a little skeptical about this being the much hyped "return of Sonic". So I have a few questions for those that have played this game.

1. When you charge a spindash and release it do you go speeding across the screen at super-sonic speed in ball form, or do you sluggishly roll forward and come to a stop?

2. When you roll down a hill do you speed up like an actual ball would or do you defy the laws of physics and slow down?

3. When you use the homing attack does it actually home in on near by enemies, or does it fail to register their presence and take you out of ball form midair leaving you vulnerable to taking a hit?

Thanks in advance!

Try the demo. From my experience it doesn't play like Sonic 4. For the record, I enjoyed Sonic 4 very much.

Sonic Colors is amazing. So fret not Gen is good and Sonic is back

Minus the 3D crap it's a pretty good followup to the original series on the Genesis.

you speed up when you do a spindash. rolling while pressing down is kinda hard but works sometimes. There is no homing attack in classic sonic mode.

I liked Sonic 4 and I think Sonic Generations is even better. Playing in retro Sonic mode is fun and the levels look great but the sense of speed in playing as newer Sonic is even more fun.
