We had a thread going about the 3rd rarest NES game and before it dissolved into forum wars, this game was just about declared the victor. So, what's it worth? Loose copy in pretty great condition. Thanks!

I would estimate it to be worth about $100. Personally, I wouldn't rate it in the top 5 rarest games (unless you are just counting licensed games).

I think $100 seems high. I haven't seen it actually sell that high yet.

Oh, apparently one did sell on ebay for $120. But the lowest recent sale was $60.
I'd have guessed $75, unless it's value's gone up.
(though I hadn't paid as much attention after I got a CIB Famicom version for about $40 a year or so ago)

It is too bad that this game is as rare as it is. I really enjoyed the first Power Blade and I would love to play the second just from a gamer's standpoint, but I'll never be interested enough to throw down the money that it is actually worth. I would just like to romp through the game. The price of this one is high because of NES collectors and its overall rarity, not because people wanna play it. What a shame...

True enough. I got it based on the fact the first was as good as it is and 2 is a letdown given the price/hype. Once I cleared 2, I traded it away promptly.

Agreed, I forgot I even had this one until I moved some stuff around and was transferring my NES games to a different shelving unit. About $75 - $100 is what I was thinking. I'm going to move it over to my sale / trade thread in a moment.
