Final Cart, Action Replay Carts - which is the best?

Hi there,

I knew that day in '93 I would regret selling my old C64, and now 10 years later I'm looking at buying it all back (for more).

I used to own a cartridge that would allow me to connect two tape drives, but at the time everyone had a Final Cart III.

I'm now looking for a super cart that will copy and allow tape games to load quicker - any suggestions?

Action Replay 4 seems readily available - is this a good model?

Go for the Action Replay 6, it's the last version Datel did and probably the best overall cartridge for your general needs. Mine never leaves my C64's port expander slot unless it "interferes" with another cart I want to use 8-)

There's nothing however that will allow tape games to load quicker though... unless you load them in and resave them out using the fastloader. But you might as well just copy them to disc instead ;)

Note of course that only works for single load games. Anything multiload is a whole new ball game and you might as well just scour the net for a d64 copy and transfer it to a floppy using the X1541 series of cables etc...
