I can't say that I've ever been to VG Then and Now, but of the places I've been, I find that the best place in the Chi town area is

The gentleman who owns the shop is Adam. He keeps his inventory priced fairly close to pricecharting.com. To boot, he's a really cool cat. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend taking a look at his store.
