So far I know of five different types of holding cases for Wii games:

-Original, sturdy, high-quality white plastic (like with Zelda: Twilight Princess)
-Newer, thinner, lighter, not-as-quality white plastic
-"Environmentally conscience" - variant of the newer type which has "missing" plastic triangular cones behind the game spool (likely a cost-cutting measure masked as conservation concern)
-Red plastic (found with New Super Mario Bros. Wii)
-Metal case (found with Metroid Prime Trilogy)

Any more?

=Additions=
-Two disc (swinging hinge in the middle of the case a la Phantom Brave: We Meet Again)
-Yellow plastic (Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games)
-White plastic case without Wii logo
-Cardboard sleeve (Wii Sports, etc.)
-Black plastic case (Zangeki no Reginleiv)

So now we're up to 10 different case styles.

Two discs is likely another.

I think I heard rumor Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games may be using yellow plastic.

Some of the white cases does not have wii embedded inside so am not sure if that is normal or if someone just switched the cases ?

There are some games without the Wii symbol on the inside.

Do any pack-in games come in cardboard sleeves, perhaps? I bought my Wii used so I didn't get any pack-ins and can't be sure.

I wish more Wii games were released in the metroid prime metal cases. I love that case! I'd happily pay an extra buck or two for them.

Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort and New Super Mario Bros. Wii all have cardboard sleeve variants. Link's Crossbow Training also came in a cardboard sleeve only.

Amen, brother. I would've loved to see Skyward Sword released in a similar fashion.

I feel like a dummy because I knew of both of these - the first with Phantom Brave (it was released with a data disc containing artwork and sounds) and the second... is obvious. :p

I assume any game that was a pack in has a cardboard sleeve variant, including Mario Kart Wii.

Cursed Mountain Limited Edition is the only other Wii game I've seen with a metal case, and I only just saw that last week as a trade in at my local GameStore so I don't think they're that common.

I also love metal cases, but the problem I have with them is that if the paint on the case gets chipped a bit there is essentially no way to repair it.
