We are having a little tournament series. It is called "THIS GAME Needs to be Remade for Modern Consoles" or TGNRMC for short.

How the tourney period works: Two games will go mano-a-mano per thread with people voting for their favorite. The winners of each bracket will face off against the other winners in the following brackets until only the winning "champion game" remains.

The rules: There will be one tourney match per day until a final winner is decided. All "champion games" are ineligible for future "THIS GAME Needs to be Remade" tournaments.

This thread is for voting between Wizards and Warriors and Super Mario RPG.

I would like to see maybe a new Wizards and Warriors [...] I was hoping for them on the SNES, but it never happened.

Super Mario RPG :)

VOTE and determine the winner!

I don't know there were kinda other mario rpg games made after that, a remake would just be stealing the story from the game... if you're gonna make another mario rpg i'd say leave the original alone and just make a new one... but i guess i missed the destitution thread, and this is just the pick on thread... oh well...

My vote goes for Wizards & Warriors in spite of the fact that I wouldn't say the game needs to be remade. It's a shame that the series never made it past the 8-bit era, though, and it'd be great to see new content for that reason alone.

As for Super Mario RPG, I'm inclined to agree with VertigoProcess that a new installment in the series would be way cooler than a remake, although it's easy to see how the low res pre-rendered graphics could be tough to enjoy for contemporary eyes. Still, the Paper Mario games felt like a natural extension and I've personally never yearned for a fresh coat of paint to be slapped on Super Mario RPG.
