I was just wondering how many are fans of the Cotton series of games, and besides the TG/TG Duo title did any make it to the USA? What is the best one, and any chance of a PSP or Virtual Console iteration showing up?
Thanks!

The Wiki entry says the Neo Geo Pocket Color version was released in the US. I don't believe it ever got it's own boxed release and had to have been released as part of those system bundles like Faselei! was. I had to track down an EU release so I could have the box for it.
I'd consider myself a fan of the series. I have most of the games that were released with the exceptions being the PS1 Cotton 100% port, the PS2 Pachinko game, Cotton Boomerang on Saturn, and of course the arcade originals.
Can't say that I'm aware of any PSP, PSN, or VC releases for the games. The Wiki article didn't seem to indicate anything at least.

Im a fan of the series, I really like the PC engine one, as well as the Saturn version. I recently got the SFC one but havent played it much..
Very colorful shooter with good music.
With the Mega Drive version I think you could mail away for a promo tea cup when it was released.
I constantly find it amazing how many good shooters were not released in north america, and yet we get so many mediocre ones and crappy games in general..

There was a calender included with the Saturn version. The Mega Drive version is really expensive, ive been seeking it for awhile

I remember back in my "Let's have a wallet full of PS1 burns I'll never play" days, Cotton Original stood out because it was like a 4MB ISO file.
I ended up importing a copy of it because we enjoyed the hell out of it.

I will say I am a fan… I purchased the Turbo Duo game back in 1994 and really enjoyed it! I used to have the NGPC version, actually it was my wife's and she ended up selling it and the games several years back :(
I also have Cotton 100% on the PlayStation and enjoy that game as well!
my friend has both the Saturn games.. Cotton 2 and Cotton Bomberang, I enjoy playing those as well and would like to have my own someday… one of them requires the 1meg expansion ram cart I believe…
I have never played Panorama Cotton, but I seek it (slowly but surely!)
I had a chance to get Rainbow Cotton for the Dreamcast years ago, but a good friend said the game was not very good, and a disappointment to the Cotton franchise…
and of course, one of my all time favorite games (see avatar) has a heavy Cotton influence!

Forget what they say about Rainbow Cotton... IT'S ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR! It's just different from the rest, and the controls ARE a learning curve. But other than that, it's tight!
To me it plays a lot like Space Harrier/PLanet Harrier... and who doesn't like space harrier RIGHT?

The Cotton Fantastic Night Dreams for the NGPC only came out in Europe and Asia. It's good for a handheld shooter, and I recommend it to fans of Cotton or the NGPC.

one of them requires the 1meg expansion
Cotton 2 can use the 4Meg cart, but it is optional. Awesome game.

ah, I didn't know it was optional… we have ram carts that can switch from 1meg to 4meg so I wasn't sure what it was set at… it's my friend who has the game… thank you for the information!

It was released in Japan and Europe but not the US.
The only US release in the series was the TurboGrafx Super CD release.
