Well, I just recieved my Wonder Boy in Monster World for the SMS yesterday... This is the rare euro only port of the Genesis wonderboy game. The auction stated it was complete, the picture in the auction SHOWED it was complete, and the auction stated that the picture was of the actual item.

I open the package, and guess what....NO FREAKIN' MANUAL!!!!

I play it nice and ask the seller if they somehow forgot the manual, and they say "Sorry to hear that, give me a few days to look aroud for it. If I can't find it, I can make you a copy of the Genesis manual"

Fuck that, the Manual's easily a third of the games value.........A photocopy of a "similar" manual....... yeah, that'll make the game complete.

that sucks, you suppose they kept it figuring you wouldn't care or did they just steal the pic and figure it was close enough?

Burp, neg feedback, boy, neg feedback, and possibly a complaint with ebay... and if you paid that way, with paypal.

Not I. Lesson learned though. Never post an eBay auction link until after you've done everything and no longer care. Anyone with an account can harrass this guy now.

Yeah, good point... it wasn't me, but I've learned this lesson by observation, for sure.

No. 1 - sorry to hear about your trouble

No. 2 - whoever emailed the seller, that was bad form!! You should at least check first if you are going to butt into other peoples affairs :hmm:

I think I would have taken it pretty much as you did RL, and if they didn't come up with the manual, I would have asked for a partial refund. I probably wouldn't leave a neg for that, but I would certainly leave a neutral.

Did I miss something? What do 'who' say to this seller?

Did they point to this thread or say how much the manual was worth? :hmm:

Regardless of this thread, your transaction is with eBay, not with the Digitpress site. So even if he holds whatever over your head, he's still going to be in trouble because the product shipped differs from the one in the auction. Neg feedback, if you paid with paypal - email them and contact eBay. Seriously, if he's going to be a dick about it, he really shouldn't have the power seller rating.

I'm sorry that some Idiot Emailed him especialy when you when you were still talking to him, but He still has to deal with You over this. Since the Auction listed the manual and even showed it in the picture he really has to send it to you or offer a refund. If he doesn't you can turn him in to Ebay for Fraud.

Of course the best thing would be to Email him and let him know that you want the original Mega Drive manual that came with the game, that you wanted the game because you read that it was complete!

I'm sorry that some Idiot Emailed him especialy when you when you were still talking to him, but He still has to deal with You over this.

Of course post feedback only after you have taken every other possible step and keep it calm and to the facts IE: EOA XXXX Partial Item Recieved XXXX would not give refund/manual.

Sorry to hear that happened to you I hope you get your manual!
