I was hoping to get this one for about $10 or so with it being mislabeled I thought it wouldn’t be that hard to do but as you see it’s far past that.

Then there’s this one that sold for $57 you can get a complete copy of Lunar 2 for about $60 with everything and new copies go for $100.

Is this from an unknowing jewellery crowd bidding up something listed as rare?

Looks like a moron bidding war. New bidder with 2 feedback fighting it out with someone with under 100.

many people took the pendant out of the boxes and wore them, and they got damaged from use (very easily worn paint) so some will pay a premium to replace that one piece later.

But paying as much as a copy of the game is completely ludicrous.

I feel sorry for all the people that broke there necks doing that (that thing is like 50 Lbs. ...Okay its more like 2 Lbs. but it would make tripping a hazard if it swung up and hit your temple)

I guess we'll never know for sure but I would think that a game person, even a moderate one would see CIB copies of Lunar 2 go for $60. Then why would they bid one part of that set up to the same price?

This is the internet thought so you and port might be right.

o_O Never thought that pendant would go for that much...though I did figure it to be roughly 1/3 to 1/2 of the complete box set's value...

Yeah, I'm amazed by the number of copies that show up missing the pendant. Funny story though, when I was in college there was a girl in one of my math classes that would wear the pendant pretty regularly with her outfits. I never really expected anyone would wear it around.

Not Surprising, back when they were available new at Gamestop not one of the copies were complete, and the missing pieces were different for each one.
