Do you still use your GC and if so, why?

I still use mine to play my GC games (as opposed to the Wii) for several reasons:

1) The Gameboy player
2) The Wii's nasty habit of corrupting larger GC memory cards (even first-party ones) which I've been victim to before, although I deserve it somewhat for taking a risk despite the warnings I read online. To my knowledge, the problem has never been fixed in either firmware or hardware.
3) The more simplistic role and setup of the GC, versus Wii's cheesy interface (featuring multiple power modes that sometimes take longer than needed to initiate) and requiring that all games be loaded through the menu which will not allow you to gracefully exit a GC game via wiimote because Wii doesn't support it.

My GC is currently put away safely and just using the Wii for convenience whenever I wanted to play a old GC game :)

Been playing Skies of Arcadia Legends on the Wii at my friends house for a while. No problems that I've noticed :<

I mostly use mine as a dedicated Game Boy Player

That's the first I've ever heard of such a thing. Never encountered any issues here.

I bought a Japanese Gamecube before the US launch. Added a region toggle switch and it spent most of its 'current gen' life in US mode. Now, the switch usually stays in Japanese mode.

Same here. I use my Wii for GameCube games all the time and have never had any issues.

I don't have a Wii anymore so I use mine to play Twilight Princess, Resident Evil 2, the Zelda collection, and of course the Gameboy Player. I can play Guardian Heroes Advance and River City Ransom DX with an X-arcade stick! It's pretty sweet.

I just use the Wii for my GC games. It is what I have hooked up and I'm running a pretty spartan (for me) entertainment system setup right now. I only have the PS3, Wii, and PC hooked up to the TV (and a receiver).

Sure, I still use mine since I don't own component cables on Wii, and because Wii won't work with my Action Replay. I have my Wii temporarily tucked away to save space in my setup.

IIRC, the memory card thing, it only affects the largest official card, it only happens in the top memcard slot, and it only happens if you turn off the system but leave 24/7 connect on with the card in the slot. I've never had it happen, but that's what I read elsewhere. I don't use 24/7, and I don't leave my cards in the Wii when not playing GC, so I've never worried about it.

And there are ways to get a GC Action Replay working on a Wii, btw.

Haven't played a GameCube game in over two years, which just so happened to be on the Wii. Fired up Wind Waker for another play through one summer month. As for my GameCube, actually sold it about a few months back. Was just taking up space, collecting dust on its original box.
