Hey guys. I've been a bit busy lately, but I made a new video to talk about the Logitech Cordless Precision Controller, one of the best wireless controllers I've ever used. Check it out!

And yes, the title of the controller review series is a nod to a certain classic computer tv series.
Many thanks to digitalpress member norkusa for hooking me up with this amazing controller.

You should check out the officially licensed Force 2 pads. They feel just like a Dual Shock and seem to be far more durable than the various Logitech models.

Yes, I was seriously considering the katana wireless controller. I have used one and have thoroughly tested it at a friend's place. I don't care for the raised d-pad and was outright turned off by its use of three AAA batteries.
The logitech cordless precision controller seems solidly built, on par with the Xbox 1 version of the same controller. I've owned the Xbox one since at least 2004 and never had a problem. I don't think I'll be having problems with the PS2 version any time soon either.

Nice review. I have one of the early models of the logitec controller that doesn't even have the PS2 logo on it. One of the things I liked most about the controller were how the analog sticks felt moving them around. They were so smooth, sleek and responsive. I remember specifically playing katamari damacy just to use the analog sticks.

I'm also not a fan of its' d-pad (Or of Sony's own design, for that matter). That's what my Logitech pad gets used for these days since I much more prefer their d-pad design (Missed out on that nice Saturn pad recreation years ago, sadly, or I'd use that instead). It's the only way I can even play something like Atari Anthology (Something like River Raid is a nightmare with a Sony controller).
But for games that use a analog stick, I always go for one of my Force 2 controllers.

I've also got this controller and it works great, the heft, feel and everything is just spot on for a wireless controller, and the rumble is nicely variable as well.
The only issue I had with it was that over the long run my X button seemed to start to stick. Like I would press it down and it would register, but get kind of wedged and not come back up. I took it apart and added a little tweak to that button and it's been amazing ever since.
So nice actually that when I saw an extra one as Gamestop I didn't hesitate to pick it up for like $10.

Button durability seems to be the big issue where Logitech's PS2 controllers are concerned. We've had several threads on that subject here over the years, although I'll have to add that mine is stil kicking just like it did when new despite many 3D games being played on it before the Force 2 gamepads were released, and many 2D games to this day.

With it now being 2011 with most of these things being several years old at this point, I think the lack of a built in rechargeable battery is a positive.

My only problem I've had with mine is the rubber contact pads have ripped from age and makes buttons stick down. And I don't abuse my stuff either just FYI.

Heh, nice review. Almost makes me wish I had this controller back. :P
This was actually my main PS2 controller for a while until I got the Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2 a few years ago. I really liked playing with this Cordless Action but the CR2 feels more like a normal PS2 controller and the buttons + d-pad are a more stiff, which I like.
