So I got the Component cables for my Cube a while back and decided to hook the bad boy up for it's 10th year anniversary, everything was working fine and dandy until I hooked the audio cables in and noticed a faint buzzing noise. I remember this happening when I first got the cables, but thought nothing of it since it seemed to go away on it's own, but now it's back, Google brings up nothing on the problem and this only seems to happen when I go into Progressive mode.
Weird thing is that sometimes if I turn the system off and then back on, everything runs fine as if there were never a problem. Otherwise the buzzing can range from soft and faint, to a loud and deep and I don't quite understand what the problem is. This is pretty frustrating because I want to play though Metroid Prime again, but I can't imagine playing through it with this noise and and while I could just pop in my S-Video cable, I'd rather play it with the best video quality possible.
I may go jumping around thrift stores tomorrow to see if I can find another Gamecube to test the cables on (or maybe even another component cable if I'm really really lucky), since the extra one I have is a later model without the Component port, but I'd rather hear some suggestions before going on the hunt.
