I had one not to long ago. Restored the controller. Had some sort of multicart and a few regular games. Anyway local salvation army has one! with 11 games and overlays. They want 140 just wondering if thats a good deal (based on ebay its not bad)
wish I had the $$
If anyone is interested and its a stellar deal etc. I could arrange purchase for you.

I paid $125 for a Vectrex & 10 games with no overlays a few years ago so I think that's a great deal!

It would also depend on the games, I'd guess. Which ones were they?
If it were me and I didn't already have two Vectrex units already, I'd totally jump on that. It seems that finding games locally without getting them online is next to impossible. So if I came across a deal like that I wouldn't be able to resist.

That sounds like a good deal, but it does depend a bit on the games included. If it comes with Polar Rescue, Star Castle, and/or Pole Position it would be a sound deal (financially) for sure. I would also immediate flip anyone of those games on eBay as they're some of the weakest titles available in my opinion. That way you get a kick-ass Vec setup at next to nothing. Two player Armor Attack is stupid fun, I think the Berzerk port is the best available (and arguably better than the arcade original), and Fortress of Narzod has the best plot in classic gaming history.
You can always try to bargain with them to get the price down a bit. Especially if you have cash. I found my Vectrex at a flea market for $15.00. So it mostly has to do with luck. Right place at the right time if you will. This does sound like a good deal. The good thing about this is that if you do pick up on this deal if you change your mind down the road and don't want it anymore you won't loose any money. The Vectrex's value has held strong for years.

I saw a Vectrex at a Goodwill today. Seemed to be the system only. I put it up on the "test electronics here" shelf, plugged it in, and played it for awhile while talking to passersby about it. They wanted 40 bucks, but this one was a bit rough (with a jiggly screen) and I already own one in better shape so I left it there, plugged in.
Hopefully someone will check it out and give it a good home.
