OK, I just got off the phone with him. The Silverton game used to be expensive, but they re-popped it, so that edition you have is worth about $30-40. None on Ebay right now, but he knows his games, so I trust his evaluation. The other two aren't worth much. And then he told me to get:
Railroad Tycoon
Rail Baron
Those are 2 of the 3 railroad games worth money, according to him. The other one has a weird name I forgot already :-/
Thanks for the info. I'll probably put it up as a BIN in a week or so when I get the bulk of my end-of-year crap sold off. Might just put the other two in a box and sell them in a lot later. I only have $2 in them so it's not a big deal.

Found Kid Icarus: Of Myth & Monsters (GB) for 99p, very reasonable.
Also saw Valkyrie Profile: Convenant of the Plume for £8.99. Was tempted then I remembered I already have too many DS games to complete, including several SRPGs.

He'd have to point out the battery is dead, and then it's hard to get more than $8 for them.
At least I wasen't too far out of the ball park on the a few bucks under $15 shipped side of my guess. Pretty much everything seems to have gone down in value since this time last year.
Why do people still put stickers on labels? :(
I'm not sure if your refering to the NES game but it looks like an old rental sticker numbering the NES games a rental place had.
Also good stuff with the EGM2s FamicomFreak.

SUDDENLY! TG-16 games everywhere! I found 9 CIB last weekend!
If by CIB you mean "Cart/Instructions/Box" you're somewhat right (assuming you're swapping case for box) but if by CIB you mean "Complete In Box" you don't.

I had to go back and look for the picture from your post to make sure but they're all lacking the outer cardboard boxes to make them truly complete. Now if you've got the cardboard boxes and just didn't picture them then my mistake. ;)

I am referring to those. Imo, they actually look like stickers you might see at a pawn shop or auction house to keep inventory organized. Neither way I've never understood why people insist on labeling the sticker when there is plenty of blank plastic to decorate.

Found an N64 with 2 controllers (1 gray, 1 red), all hookups, and 12 games on Craigslist...ad didn't mention all the games, but did mention Zelda, Mario 64, and South Park but that was enough for me to give them a call...found out it was $50 so I picked it up, and I was happy I did...the games ended up being:
-Cruisin' USA
-MK Trilogy
-Star Wars Shadow of the Empire
-Bomberman 64
-Waverace 64
-Pilotwings
-Dr. Mario
-Mario 64
-Diddy Kong Racing
-South Park
-Starfox 64
-Zelda Ocarina of Time (I now have 2 copies)
Everything was in mint condition, and I couldn't believe it. Money well spent in my opinion.

Carts only or in original boxes? I'm always curious to see if anyone finds boxed N64 games on craigslist. Usually I only find common, way over priced, cart only games.

Carts only...I don't know why Nintendo never believed in real game cases...I'm guessing cost, but these boxes are way too hard to find.

A quickie post, AND a Secret Santa sneak preview!
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2011-12-10.jpg
I've been eyeing that Dreamcast since last week, it's just the bare console for $5. I needed a replacement since mine died a few months ago.
That DVD is City Dragon. Obscurus Lupa (http://blip.tv/OLPresents/citydragonfinished-5554714) tore into the movie because it's just so damn stupid. That was $2.
And the Secret Santa sneak preview? That Voltron Black Lion set. My local dollar store had a TON of these, so I grabbed one as a Secret Santa bonus item.
Sorry Blitzwing, I didn't get you for Secret Santa. :P

I did ok today. Mikesides and I hit some thrifts:
http://i1143.photobucket.com/albums/n629/ConneticutLeatherCompany/gkids001-15.jpg
$4 for the Genesis w no AV or Controllers, $15 for the DC with 2 controllers and all the cords, .50 each for the 2600 carts, $1 for Wolfenstein, $3 for the NIB Carcassonne expansion, $2 for the NIB Blue Man Group DVD, $4 for the NIB Police DVD, $4 for the Star Wars Plug-n-play, $2 for the PS2 controller, $1 for the Genesis game, and $3 for Jurassic Park Lost Worlds.
And look a gift horse in the mouth...

Edit: I shouldn't bitch about shipping the wireless ones. The neck removes, making it much easier. But the X plorer model? :(

Please note: That was free shipping, and it's the wireless Fenders and Gibsons for the 360 that fetch the $30+. The X plorers and GH brand wireless get about $20.
I just am stuck using free shipping on them cause the $6 shipping cap for controllers is a little blown on these.

Just some friendly advice... Next time you see blank Beta tapes still sealed (not that rare, and fairly cheap), pick a couple up to test with instead of the factory tape. The factory ones are often damaged from use, but the big deal is that most of the Beta players that sell have the Superbeta option. The buyers still use these tanks to tape their favorite shows. So they want it to be tested recording more than playing. At least in my experience.
And just cause a few of us didn't know about the Guitars, I wanted to show that last one wasn't a fluke.

Yesterday just really sucked..
No matter where I went I just could not find anything worthwhile..
Flea Market..
The day of PLAYSTATION Games..
Seems like every vendor had some kind of playstation game....and since I’ve sold my collection I have no interest in them besides an eye popping moment when I see something maybe valuable...
First person I hit had a PS2 on the table, with falling off attachable screen..I have a PS2 with portable screen a Gamecube with screen..I like these things for systems on the go,in the van or to be played anywhere,I want one for my
Xbox but not the tiny screen version..
Anything this guys Ps2 is trashed.dirty no faceplate. some junk he pulled out of the trash, the screens falling off the system..He says it’s complete working..yet has no cords,no plug for the screen....UGH!!..Stop BSing me.
.I’m looking at his playstation games, some bringing back memories..
More playstation games...what’s in that box..playstation games..
The next person I hit... is a lady vendor who sells games but I avoid her like the plague ..She’s a real BS artist, she’ll lie in your face(swear) that she paid $50.00 for something yet you’d had seen her earlier in the day paying $10.00..She doesn’t test anything and sells a lot of broken stuff swearing it works.
I check her bin of NES games for anything worthwhile, after seeing the finds here I’m looking deeper..
Nothing..I want to ask her how much she wants for a TMMT TV and NES
Gameshark Book but she’s in a heated argument with a buyer who bought a PSP that she said worked but is broken..She had so many lies for that sale that she was tripping over herself, even telling the guy that she doesn’t sell at that market that it’s her first time.
....more searching..nothing.
All I bought was a Lightgun for $3.00
Deep searching in a bin I took a chance and opened a CD holder..
Has a few playstation games and a TOMBA Demo..so I bought the whole thing for $2.00

The PCjr was IBM's first home computer. The joystick ports are unique and IIRC, you can't use the PCjr sticks on anything other than a PCjr. Unless you're going to keep that, your best bet would be to sell it to someone that already has a PCjr.
Value is probably $20-30, just depends on who wants it and how badly. An open one is probably $10-15. You don't see them a lot, especially new, but the demand doesn't exist to make it an expensive rare piece.

Meh day today.
http://i1143.photobucket.com/albums/n629/ConneticutLeatherCompany/gkids-19.jpg
$3 for the Vsmile with no games, $7 for the GBC, $4 for the Sims Expansion 3 pack, $4.50 after discount for the NES games (I didn't have Renegade still, so I took the tore to shit copy. I miss that game!), and the best profit of the day will probably come from the X Mods Truck, although I haven't pegged a value on that particular model yet. $3.

Went out to the flea market this weekend for the first time in a couple of months; managed to find some stuff:
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b235/joshnickerson/dpblog/DEC2011_F-1.jpg
Jungle Green N64 lot, with expansion pak, Mario Kart 64, Donkey Kong 64, Super Mario 64 (x2), Banjo-Kazooie, Wipeout 64 and Rampage 2, with A/V cables, a broken RF switch, and no power adapter. It also came with three crappy third party controllers, each in varying states of dis-repair, but my favorite one is this one.

Everything was $20.

I didn't go out this weekend but I went to GameStop the other day and some guy had 25 original Xbox games and he was trying to trade them in. Since GS doesn't take those anymore, I told him "I'll give you $20".
Sold.
Mostly commons but picked up Halo GOTY, Halo 2, Star Wars Battlefront, and a few other notables.
Since I'm always willing to share knowledge with others, if you ever see one of these, you better pick it up:

I paid $5 for that. Yamaha keyboards are a hit and miss but the older synths bring in money. Anything with Portasound is worth at least $10-20 so at the very worst you'll break even. It may look like a toy but it's no toy.

I give away all the standees that come into the store. Most people never want them and then end up in the trash constantly. That mario ones coming down this week so it's nice that it found a home that wasn't a landfill.

I wouldn't mind getting a few for the house from time to time. I never thought to ask because I figured it was against corporate policy to hand the discarded ones out (well you know how picky GS is at times).
Will keep this in mind for the future if I eye one that I like.

Awesome! How did it go for you? The rain ruined it for me but can't complain as i found another foot soldier! Wekekekekekek!
you did way better then me, going on a Tuesday was a waste of gas and time (i don't know about you but it's 70 miles there and back for me).
I came across one guy that had 3 SNES games 2 Game Gear games and a super gameboy. He wanted $3 a piece for the SNES games and $4 a piece for the Game Gear games (calling game gear games rare). 2 of the SNES games were commons that i didn't want and one was missing the label. I was very tempted to buy the one missing the label. I had thoughts in my mind of it turning out to be earth bound or SoM but judging by the other 2 games i thought the chances were way to off to spend my precis $3. Thinking back to it i should have risked it. Same story with the game gear games just commons i didn't want... HOWEVER I have been looking to get a super gameboy for myself and you can't beat 3 dollars for one. On top of that my friend that made me drive all the way down there felt bad since the place was basically empty, so he paid for it....
if you collect ninja turtle toys i can keep my eye out for some, i'm some what of a collector too but if there's one that you don't have yet I think I'd be willing to help a fellow south Floridan out...
this is some of my ninja turtles, I have a good amount of vehicles and some more turtles in my closet either here or at my parents house in DC. They are all from my childhood though...

Well I'm mainly looking for foot soldiers and of course the different editions of the turtles. We can work out a deal :p I'm actually 15 minutes away from there so man I feel bad you drove so long for it. We should set up a hunt though, it's always more fun with other collector buddies.

Yesterday and today combined. Small runs both days.
http://i1143.photobucket.com/albums/n629/ConneticutLeatherCompany/gkids-20.jpg
The DVD's were all .99 each on Monday, the Baby one is sealed. Drumcon was 2, Spidey GC was 4, Top Gun joystick was 3, Power Rangers CD ROM coloring book was 2, the Vsmile games were 2 each, the N64 w 1 controller and expansion was 13, and the atomic purple controller was 4.
Yesterday I also got a decent amount of stuff of craigslist, thanks to mikesides. It was all pretty hammered, but I got a NES w 8 games, including TMNT 1 & 2 and Renegade (prettier than my last copy!), 4 NES controllers, a 3rd party AC cord, an original AC cord, 2 Genesis controllers, 6 Genesis games, 3 w box, no manuals, and 6 N64 games, including KI Gold (hammered) for $20. A good deal, but it was too late last night to mess with posting them all, and I've been working on getting it listed, so it's in the piles of 'for sale' stuff now. Thanks, Mike!

Just curious but do you prefer the "cartoon" foot soldiers vs the "movie" ones? I always hated the cartoon figure because the pose it's stuck in and the weird angles the things stand at.

$1 each. Jewish ladies singing? SOLD!
And the "WTF" moment...

That tank of a VCR is a Sony SLV-R1000 Super VHS Editing system. This is BIGGER than an original XBox. It was $5. I haven't tested it yet, but it turned on... It's missing the play and stop buttons, sadly.
If it works then I'll be able to transfer all my VHS tapes easily. Woot.

A few finds from Goodwill today and yesterday. The bare Nomad was $2.99...tested it with a power supply and a game and it works. 2 PSX games and an N64 game were $1.99 each. Normally don't pick up Turtles stuff, but I saw a bag with a bunch of unusual looking ones for $4.99, and with all of the recent turtle talk here, I decided to give it a shot. Let me know if any of these are particularly sought after...

Today I got the GBA version of Wolfenstein 3D. This gives me about a half-dozen GBA games so just now I finally ordered a GBA unit, an SP model. Up to now I'd been playing my GBA games on a DS.

Just picked up a SNES (with wires and plug, but no controllers) and Super Mario All-Stars for $10.
Also picked up a Nintendo DS Lite (with charger but no stylus) with New Super Mario Bros. & Scooby Doo!: Who's Watching Who? for $35
Both were found locally on craigslist.

I got these earlier, just forgot to post them. Some new stuff mixed in, but haven't been able to search much.

Custom Robo and Medabots were $4 each. Neither have the manual. I always pick up older games if they were made by Natsume or Atlus because they are usually good, but this one supposedly isn't. I still need to clean it off to get it working in my GCN.
Ribbit King was $10, and has both discs. It's in great condition, and it's a fun game.
The two DS games are Scurge: Hive and Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey for $3 and $7, respectively. Purchased from Gamestop, apparently most of the DS games they sell don't have cases anymore. It doesn't even appear to be only higher-priced games that have boxes, it's almost random what games have what.

Mostly just savers finds for cheap, I had no idea that they made Swat Kat toys, now i want to know if they have the jet too.. dvd box sets were 5$ at salvation army, loved lois and clark when it aired, coudln't pass them up for that cheap, I felt sorry for sg1 being left there cold and alone by itself, so it came home with me as well.
I miss my good camera, going to buy one after xmas, for now its crappy cellphone camera.

The only thing I picked up today at the resale store was Super Mario Land for the GB. Set me back $3 but I'll sell it for $5 Sunday at the flea market. Did pass on a nice looking Dreamcast for $10 because I have quite a few of those. Had some N64 controllers for $2 apiece but those were damaged in some way or another. And, as always, the stack of PS1's for $5 each that no one is going to buy.
There are a few things that I'm eying that have been there for a while (we're talking over a month). Probably pick them up in a week or two. Somewhat expensive items ($10-30) but decent profits on eBay. I'm just trying to clear my inventory before buying more crap next year.

Had a decent find at CSS today:
One Game Boy Advance Glacier
Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone (GBA)
The Incredibles (GBA)
Peter Pan: Return To Neverland (GBA)
Nothing Spectacular, but the whole thing came in a GBA case for 10 bucks so I should have no problem recouping my costs and then some.

Found quite a few items last night (thanks to Sunnyvale) and today.
Last night I got the Wrestlemania 2000 and Nagano Winter Olympics '98 for $2 each. Also got the Left for Dead 2 (Xbox 360), Super Mario Strikers (Gamecube), Civilization (SNES), and Indiana Jones (PC) Manuals for 50 cents each. I'm only keeping the Civilization manual in case anyone wants the other stuff.
Today I picked up Taiko Drum Master (PS2) CIB and the Guitar Hero Foot Pedal for $3 each. Trading those to Sunnyvale. Also picked up 85 random Magic the Gathering cards (nothing rare) for $2, a Gamecube microphone for $1, and a TI-83 Plus calculator for $4. After spending about an hour taking apart the calculator and cleaning out all of the spilled soda inside I tested it and found out the screen is missing 5 rows of horizontal pixels. Hopefully Sunnyvale can help me fix it. I find these A LOT and this is the first one I have had with this issue.

Thrift stores aren't putting out good stuff as of late. Either that or all the eBay resellers are getting there before me (I do tend to sleep late on my days off). All I found today was a Pac-Man board game for $3.35 in a Goodwill. I'm debating whether or not to even bother hitting any thrifts in the upcoming days. It's just not worth the effort. I love the excitement and rush of finding something really great and unexpected, but most of my finds are either from game or movie stores, or from flea markets. And I'm rarely off on weekends to go to flea markets.

My personal TI-83 Plus Silver Edition (which I've had since the 8th grade, so I've had it 7+ years) has one horizontal line out in the center. Not a big deal for me since I'm never going to sell it.
