I go in the morning when it opens..but I haven't found anything exciting...I hope the new year brings me luck

I don't have that problem since I live in a small area but remember with Goodwill, a lot of them are putting good stuff on their auction site now (which, for the most part, gets above eBay prices on bids for whatever reason).

My personal TI-83 Plus Silver Edition (which I've had since the 8th grade, so I've had it 7+ years) has one horizontal line out in the center. Not a big deal for me since I'm never going to sell it.

Nice. I still have my original TI-86 that I got in high-school well over a decade ago. Since it's not worth much I probably won't ever sell it either. Seems the only ones I get good money for are TI-83's and TI-84's because kids are still using those in most high schools.

^ The school I went to did assign those calculators out for 8th and 9th grade but my 83+ was a savior on many exams and tests. I used that thing for nefarious purposes more times than I'm willing to admit. LOL

All of the NES stuff was $15, including the white box. Only real notable game is Castlevania which is going on eBay tonight.

The GC games, total was a few cents below $40. 50% sale.

It's all in there, including the instructions. Anyone interested in this thing? When I saw the NES stuff, the guy mentioned he had another "controller in the box" and asked me if I wanted it. He dug it out from a pile of junk and handed it to me as I paid him $15 for the NES box (they were asking $1 a game but since I offered to buy everything, they told me $15). Pleasant surprise considering he just said "controller in the box". I was expecting one of those cheap third-party ones.

Here's my haul, I only had 2 hours to do this but I would say it went well. Hit 5 gamestops. Had I known more in advance I would have made a whole day out of it.

The PC software and Vampire Hunter D manga was all from Goodwill. The VHD books were technically softcovers so they should have rung up for $1.50 each but I'm not going to complain for getting two awesome mangas for $1. The Mario Party games were part of Gamestop's 50% off sale. Sadly I passed on a copy of Pikmin 2. It would have been $20 and I thought that it was only going for $40. But a quick ebay search revealed it can easily go for $50-70 too. Oh well, I'll pick it up during the next sale.

This was the best part of my trip. Those 3 month cards were marked down because they were the old style. And now I have like 3 years in unused XBL gold time. Too bad they didn't have one more though.

As you can see from the price tag MUA was still marked $59.99. The cashier was making a big deal because he thought I was getting such a great deal. But I already knew it would ring up at that price from picking one up at another Sears. I just gave him a look like "whatever dude". I am perhaps the most spend thrifty shopper on the east coast. The more you prepare yourself with sales knowledge the better you will make out. And 99.9% of the time I know much more about the deals I'm buying than the cashiers that ring me up.

As I stated I knew Pikmin 2 was worth some money but I didn't think doubling my money was worth it at a $20 buy in. But apparently it's price has increased since there have been no re-releases like the first Pikmin got.

At a Movie Trading Company I found Virtual Hydlide for the Saturn for $3.99 and tucked into racks and racks of Playstation games was Waialae Country Club (golf) for the 3DO for $1.99, sticking out like a sore thumb with its white label in the middle of all those black label PS1 cases. I don't especially want to play it, but I can't pass up a 3DO game I don't have, and when it's only two bucks.

The Movie Trading Company stores around Dallas/Fort Worth, TX have gone ape guano crazy on pricing 3DO games lately. On the rare chances they ever get any in, they'd usually give them sane prices, almost always under $10 unless it's something rare. Now, they've just gone nuts. $49.99 for Supreme Warrior? Really? The few locations that had some games have for some reason marked them up, and the sad thing is, somebody's bought a few of them. The only game left at the Fort Worth location is Mazer, one of the worst games on the system, and they've got it for something like $30 or $40. It might just be some locations, even though they're a local chain they get some odd ideas when it comes to price points from store to store.

Mikesides recently found a Mystique game in his box of unlabeled carts. That's right, many of the kids/husbands who had these 'gems' peeled off the labels so mommy wouldn't get pissed. Wow, amazing find. Just amazing.

I grabbed the N64 tape, DS case and Endwar novel from two different Goodwill's. The strategy guides, cases and Alice are from Best Buy. They don't even have this game listed as new(for the 360) on their website anymore and this was the only location that had one in stock near me so I figured I'd grab it while I could.

MW3 hardened edition was the only one in stock at a Toys R Us. I wasn't even sure I wanted it but it's the first one I've seen in a store since the game came out(I didn't even see any on release day) so I figured I would grab it just in case. With all new game purchases $20 and up at Toys R Us this week you get a free $5 gift card. While thats pretty normal, I find it amusing that each gift card includes a free month to Xbox Live gold. So if you are buying a game for the PS3, Wii, 3DS, Ds or Psp you would still get a free month of XBL gold regardless if you actually wanted it or not.

If you're going down the soda aisle, avoid a South Korean soft drink called McCol's... I bought one while checking out a new Asian supermarket, and it is definitely the most disgusting thing I've ever drank. Imagine taking a box of Sugar Smacks cereal, putting it into a pot of water on a stove, and then boil all the water off and leave that pot on the burner for a good hour or two. Scrape the charred crap out of the inside of the pot, mix it with carbonated water, and serve. Yeah. One quick sip (which I immediately spit out) and I tasted that junk for hours afterward. It's like liquid evil. I'd drink a whole case of Moxie (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moxie) before I'd have another McCol's.

Does anyone here remember that TV show Reboot? I managed to find a loose CD-ROM today that originally came with a rare "Bad Bob" action figure.

The Jurassic Park Trilogy bluray was won in one of Gamepro's last online contest. It was also the fourth contest I have won from them in the last six months. I'm really going to miss that site. The four books were $1.50 total at Goodwill. Not pictures is the fourth volume of Vampire Hunter D manga.

The vhs movies were $1 each or 6 for $3. I only wanted the Alien movies but figured I might as well pick three more things since they were free. I know nothing about Utena but I haven't watched any anime lately and there were three of them so it worked for me. Mario Kart 7 was a Target return at the same Goodwill. And luckily they didn't already put a price on it like they usually do for the 360, PS3 and Wii returns. So I was able to pick it up for their default game price. Too bad it will be quite awhile before I ever pick up a 3DS.

Utena is awesome. I just got done watching the new DVD sets. Despite how it looks, the series is psychological and bizarre.

I might look into the show but I couldn't get into the characters, plot, or overall theme with the movie. It's pretty weird with the characters who turn out to be dead/ghosts, plus there's the abusive releationships, lesbian relationships, incest, gender swaps(sort of, girl wanting to be a boy/dressing and acting like a boy), people literally turning into cars, etc. I know it actually won an award for best Japanese movie of the year at some anime expo, but it's just not my taste in anime.

I should probably list all my spare DVDs here for sale here, I have a bunch from different genres I would just want to sell off all together in one bundle. It would probably cost too much in shipping to sell them individually.
