TGNRMC Finals - Metal Storm Versus Burning Rangers

This is it - the finals of the first ever TGNRMC championship series!

We are having a little tournament series. It is called "THIS GAME Needs to be Remade for Modern Consoles" or TGNRMC for short.

How the tourney period works: Two games will go mano-a-mano per thread with people voting for their favorite. The winners of each bracket will face off against the other winners in the following brackets until only the winning "champion game" remains.

The rules: There will be one tourney match per day until a final winner is decided. All "champion games" are ineligible for future "THIS GAME Needs to be Remade" tournaments.

I love Metal Storm, but a modern version would suck. I'd rather have an upgraded version of the Famicom game on a Super CD-ROM² PC Engine disc. Complete with 1987 style Japanimation cut scenes. Switchi-ON! Retsu go! GO METAR STOOOOHMU!

I hear you, but who says a modern version would have to look "modern"? Konami did right by the Contra franchise with their old school-pixelated WiiWare installment- Contra Reloaded. Couldn't Irem do the same?
