SO i have an old school 27inch tube tv. Unfortunately the coax input has broken off. I know can't play my intellivison or atari 2600. Do you guys know if there is some adapter (cheap preferred) so maybe i could connect coax from the system to an rca adapter. Is there anyway i could get these 2 work or am i screwed and have to get a new tv?

thanks
carlos

Yup, they have them. They are called VCRs. Using an RF-to-Coax adapter from Radio Shack, connect your console to the coax in on a VCR, and connect the composite output (RCA cables) to your television.

Yeah, a VCR truly is the cheapest, easiest way to go Coax in to A/V out.

Sad but true.

Get one of these from Radio Shack, pop it on the RCA cable of the 2600, screw it in to the coax IN on the VCR, run some A/V out from the VCR to your TV, and you're good to go.

What Frankie said. I love those adapters. They work 100 times better than the old "Game Switch" boxes that never really work. And, these adapters only cost a few bux. You can get ones shaped like an L too. Some of them may say Audio adapter but don't let that deter you. It signals through audio and video just fine.
