I'm thinking of attending a NAVA event soon.
Seems that they generally happen at the end of every month, but I was wondering if there'd be one for December, when it might be.

December seems strange this year, since Christmas Eve is on the 24th (Saturday) and New Year's Eve is on the 31st (Saturday), which means that the only available weekend might be this upcoming one. That, or I could see NAVA getting pushed out to January.

Anyway, I am thinking that it's getting time that I should attend one, so I was wondering if anyone had any ideas when the next one would be scheduled for.

Thanks!

John,

I'll ask Joe to fashion an official post, but as I understand it NAVA will be a New Years Eve night CELEBRATION on December 31st.

In addition to whatever classic games, systems and high-score challenge that he decides on we will also be having our annual NAVA Gift Exchange, here are details on that from

We're going to give everyone a chance to re-wrap an old gift and get a new one in exchange. Simply bring any new or at least UNUSED videogame-related gift-wrapped item worth $20 or more gift-wrapped. We'll log you in when you arrive and put it under our tree. Everyone who contributes gets someone else's gift in exchange. At 6PM we'll unwrap the gifts!

There has been some amazing stuff unwrapped in previous years (and, yes, a few clunkers *coughSonyAlarmClock*), and attendees have been increasingly generous and thoughtful with their contributions, so it's worth coming for that alone.

It's always announced about 2 weeks prior to the event so it stays fresh on everyone's mind :)
