It's because your phone is from AT&T, Sega and AT&T teamed up awhile ago. There's even some Sonic advertising promoting AT&T phones and services. The ads have been out for several years already.

Interesting. I'll bet the tune has been hanging around AT&T since then and everybody has forgotten about it being from Sega. There are a couple other ringers that sound like they could be from a video game, but I didn't recognize them.
