I got a launch day white DS Lite. These were known for developing "cosmetic" hinge cracks, but mine has gone past that. The top screen no longer locks in place. Could this be fixed by just getting a new shell for it? Anyone else fix theirs?

you can fix it by getting a new shell, or you can do a less ascetically pleasing but less wallet busting method where you simply take a rubber band and place it around the screen

It's not my main DS anymore, so I'll just replace the shell when I get the chance.
