Original GameBoy Screen Cover Glue Advice

My original Game Boy screen cover just fell off today. I guess 20 years is the max life for this glue. Any advice on how to remove the old glue and what new glue I should use to stick it back on?

I have scraped off the dried glue off with a flat head screwdriver and then used 2 sided RC servo tape to stick it back together. That stuff is amazing, I always find different ways to use it.

I've glued a screen back on using JB Weld, it won't ever fall off again. It might be too strong to use if you ever plan on changing the screen in the future though.

I'd try using lighter fluid to remove the old adhesive. It is strong enough to help remove old stuff but not strong enough to eat the plastic. At least it worked on a few NES carts I purchased that someone felt the need to stick a label on the back with their name and the name of the game on in 1989.

Screw driver? No wonder some of the stuff I repair looks like hell.

Also, 3M Super 77 works great. The downside is that you'll have to take it all the way apart and do some masking. If it's off, I get a replacement so you'll have a new screen anyways.
