Hey Guys,

I'm a huge fan of retro gaming of the 80s and I just recently completed a game for iPhone and iPad titled "Shuttle Scuttle". I designed the graphics to match the NES colour palette as close as possible and the game features 14 original chip tune music tracks based on the capabilities of the NES.

Here's the game trailer on YouTube:

Just watched the video, and it does indeed look like some NES tribute-ware.

Fans of Asteroids/Blasteroids should check it out.

Thanks Frankie - it is indeed a tribute to the NES. The 8 boss battles are inspired by the Mega Man series. I've obeyed the NES colour palette 90% of the time and I think everyone will enjoy the soundtrack which is Konami inspired. Within the game you can also perform the Contra/Konami code to refill your shield levels. I followed the idea of 8 worlds with 4 stages in each to mirror the gameplay length of Super Mario Bros.

Right now the game is on sale for the holidays for $0.99. It'll run on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. We'll be porting it to Mac later this week.

I hope that any NES player with an iOS device will enjoy the references. I made the price as low as possible to just cover the costs of the music composer.

It integrates with Game Center for high score posting with other players and there are 11 achievements to unlock for badges, etc.

Happy Holidays!
NES FTW :-)

Thank YOU for sharing with our community!

I'm a huge iOS gamer so I'll grab a copy later, play it up and give it a shout out on the next (and increasingly irregular) Digital Press Podcast.

@c0ldb33r - I'm glad that you noticed the detail. The start button in the middle triggers a tweaked but familiar chime as well ;)

Okay, I put some time into it and it is indeed worth the price of admission.

I'll expound on it next time we're on camera/mic.
