Devil May Cry HD Collection confirmed for April 2012 [Joystiq]

I fall into this camp with DMC so I might jump on this when it drops to 20 bucks.

Thats what I like about these HD collections, as they let me play a bunch of games that I may have missed when they were new. The upscale and little touch ups on many of these collections do make them look significantly nicer on a modern TV. That and collections like this usually drop in price fairly fast so its a cheap way to experience these games either again or for the first time.

I'm getting this to show Capcom the REAL DMC I want. Not that other twilight looking crap. NT has never mad e agood game. All were broken as can be. 2 games had potention to be good but ended up a mess in mechanics.

Kamyia hates the new DMC also. I will still with the best and original DMC.

why do people always say this? ninja theory is the entire reason dmc is even on my radar, i have the original dmc collection and honestly im not that impressed, ninja theory on the other hand have proven to be one of the best studios in terms of graphical fidelity and story telling of our generation, gameplaywise i thought heavenly sword was perfect, i loved and still love that game, i recommended that game to anyone who would listen when i first bought it, one of the best games on the ps3 imo


enslaved on the other hand i will kind of concede a little dissappointment in terms of gameplay, felt like they were holding your hand the entire time and the combat was way wayyyy to simplified but that game had charm in spades, i loved the characters and dialogue, uncharted is the only other series to illicit similar feelings in me,


ninja theory in my eyes is going to shut alot of people up when the game finally releases next year, if you really hate them that much can you at least cite some examples of things u didnt like or hated as you so claimed?

DmC will "run at 30fps but feel like 60fps." Whatever that means :P.

It's ironic that Tameem Antoniades makes attempts on trying to make Dante "cool" when he gave his studio is called Ninja Theory. Ninjas, along with Zombies, are such gamer nerd cliches.

DMC was always about crazy combos and over the top action. It was distinctly Japanese in that sense, and the outlandish character design only added to that.

I might be wrong, but it seems that the new DMC has disaster written all over it. Shame on Capcom for outsourcing such a major series.

Anyway, back to the main topic - DMC HD Collection. Can't wait. It will be nice to re-visit the series again.

I have all 4 Devil May Cry games and have yet to play any of them. I have played demos of the first and fourth game but the actual games are all still factory sealed. So I'll definitely be picking this one up once I find a good deal on it. And I'm actually going to play it this time.....I think.
