I searched the forum for this topic, but could not find any posts of this nature. Forgive me if my searching was not thorough enough.
So what are everyone's opinions about which games are the most hilarious games ever created? Ones that made you actually laugh out loud (not just smile). Ideally "spewing some sort of foodstuff out your mouth" hilarious. I can't really think of anything that has made me laugh that hard, but my suggestion would be Incredible Crisis for the PS1. And while Metal Slug is amusing - who actually started guffawing at the game?
(Note: I'm discounting all Lucas Arts Adventure games because those are very widely known, and also very funny...for the most part.)

Keio Yugekitai for the Saturn. I can't think of any other game that has a digitized Japanese man's head for a boss. I couldn't stop laughing after seeing that.
The Parodius series is good for some laughs too (The raccoon boss on Sexy Parodius comes to mind).

There is an import game where you're a chef (name?) and it was sampled on the import demo section of one of the PS Jampack demos. You take orders from different customers (all speaking Japanese, mind you) and when you make them happy then your score goes up, and you have the chance to challenge other chefs. A funny part of the game is when little kids come in the restaurant and steal food/other items. The game then takes you outside where you're chasing them in a back alley, and if you catch up you beat the kid to the ground (he even cries LOL). I don't know if it's a funny game if you speak Japanese though. :/

Earthworm Jim 2 is a great pick. That whole game is just f'n wierd. My favorite bit was the TV quiz show at the end of the giant intestines. What ever happened to Dave Perry? I mean, I know he's still around, obviously, but what ever HAPPENED to him?
I think the funniest game ever is Conker's Bad Fur Day. There's really not much point to the game other than the comedy, and it's fab. There were a number of times I had to pause the game for a couple minutes and catch my breath. Best moments: getting the cows to drink prune juice, and (of course) the Great and Mighty Poo.

Perry was never funny or weird; all of EWJ's humor was courtesy of Doug TenNapel (http://www.tennapel.com). What happened is that when TenNapel hooked up with DreamWorks Interactive (now just another unit of the EA Collective) and went his own way, Perry cranked out a succession of very hateful games (MDK, Wild 9, Messiah) which I surely hope don't reflect his outlook on life.

I got this the other day - excellent game. 'Ore No Ryouri', or 'My Cooking'. I took a few ropey screen grabs here (http://www.webmad.co.uk/4images/categories.php?cat_id=14&s=6dbb6434a9ed3b7f5bd2ca16b9a82f85) :)

Yeah game is a keeper. I'd like to purchase the full version some day (anyone know a site that sells it?). I actually learned some Japanese while playing it. :D
When the kid asks for a drink, I'm thinking what the hell (do kids in Japan really get to order beer?). But then I think to myself...wait, it's probably just soda. LOL
Some of the times when you face the other chef he's a bitch to you (competition-wise).
If you like very odd games I suggest everyone to try it out. ;)

That's very surprising, because the whole Dave Perry Myth was built on his being wierd and quirky. That's how he was always sold via the magazines. Perhaps Perry is one of those who needs someone to collaborate with, like TenNapel. His games since the 16-bit era have just lacked that spark of humanity I always enjoyed.

I don't think a game has ever made me laugh like Popful Mail for the Sega CD. Working Designs, known for humorous translations, went nuts with the voices and text for the game, an already goofy fantasy action/RPG. Some of the exchanges were priceless, like when the Schwarzenegger-esque guy tells Gaw "I have no cake and pie here for you, fatty bottom."
Doug TenNapel's PlayStation platformer Skullmonkeys was also surprisingly funny. It wasn't as illogical as Earthworm Jim, but some of the cut scenes were hilarious. And strange. Very strange. But hey, if a game can make me laugh at a skull-headed ape with a hamster crawling around inside of his noggin, it must be doing something right.

I got one (actually 2) that beats them all...Discworld and its sequel. I never
laughed so hard at a game (this is in Discworld 1). When at a point
in the game when you must get this fish sellers belt buckle. You must
place Love Custard (yes, love custard) in the pail in a nearby outhouse,
and a octopus you stole from the fish sellers stand. Then you close the
door. Returning to the fish seller you then swap the cavair he is eating
with Old Bowel Buster brand prunes. After he eats one he got to go...
BAD!!! The next scene with the fish seller and the octopus is so FUNNY!!

Your right the game can get a bit long, they improved that in Discworld 2.
But if your in to checking out everything in a game like me. Discworld 1
in act 4 does have a red herring.

1) Banjo and Kazooie: Anyone remember that pirate captain who crys all the time and when he talks to you he doesn't "talk" really; HE BURPS
I nearlly died the first time I heard him "talking".......INCREDIBLE IDEA
2) Fatal Fury (neogeo(/snes): the dude who supposes to "clap" his hands in the background on the left of the "pao-pao cafe" stage :
Look where he has his right hand.....yeah,u see right:his hand is in his pants
so it looks like he jerks off...urgh!
3) Super Smash Brothers Melee: I still break down laughing every 2 min when playing this jewel. There are sooo many great animations(the taunt move of kirby;luigis flying headbutt;kirbys "changing style" moves;jigglypuff's running=my personal fav......all of them funny as hell)

Anybody really get into Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 (Xbox, GC, PS2)? That game's screwy rag-doll physics + 'Wipeout' mode equals gut-busting laughs for you and the whole family! :D
Who could forget moments such as taking 'Amish Guy' down the Highway level, backflipping into a speeding car (complete with non-animated wheels) and being catapulted 50 feet straight up into the exit sign? Or, pressing the appropriate button and latching onto a speeding car which then drags your ass down the road, honking at you as your character lets out random prerecorded screams ad-nauseum? Or, exploiting the game's NUMEROUS glitches, such as biffing a backflip at the start of Camp Woodward and getting your head stuck in the floorboards(?) while your score inexplicably skyrockets?
Everyone that I've shown this game to in the past 7 years busts a gut over just how ridiculous it is. Seriously, this game is pure genius!

Well, I think that the majority of RPGs have their funny moments. Not really because of the way that they are written (except "Earthbound"), or because of goofy physics-bending glitches. I laugh mostly because of the improbability inherent in most of these kinds of games.
For example, I was just playing through "Baldur's Gate: DA2" when I killed a tornado. I wish that I was badass enough in real-life to go striking down massive, whirling gusts of wind. After 'it' died, it dropped a pile of gold on the ground. Which raises the question... what exactly does an element of nature need gold coins for? The bus stop?
In a different level, I slew some sort of tiny, bat-like creature, who then proceeded to ejaculate a "Remarkable Bastard Sword" from it's disintegrating corpse. It was probably relieved that I had slain it... no longer would it have to bear the load of a sword that was more than 3 times its' length.
This is just a tiny example... there are plenty of other RPGs out there where you can't help but laugh at the implausibility of various things that occur, but I can't think of anything else right now!

I thought Wario Ware Inc. was pretty funny. It's not as apparent in the title, unlike some of the aforementioned games. What I found hilarious was when the characters are dancing. The minigames are hilarious just in that they seem so easy and you fail a lot at first.

Maybe this is a weird choice, but Persona 3 had me in stitches. The way Yukari bags on Junpei the whole game (with excellent voice acting for the both of them) kept me rollin'. Alot of the choices during social links are funny too.
Also Earthworm Jim 1 and 2. So odd.

Godhand for PS2 has some pretty funny moments, as well as funny special moves. If you're a glutton for punishment with the difficulty it's worth it to play the game through. I'm also going to go with Warioware for Gamecube. Not only is the game addictive but it's damn funny trying to do simple things like keep your snots from falling out of your nose and a bunch of other things.

This isn't a game that's funny by design, but when I played "T&C Country Surf Design" (NES) as a kid, it would make me chortle incessantly. Specifically the scene where you're controlling a cat in a tux as he's surfing some waves. While a cat wearing a tuxedo as he 'hangs-10' is funny in itself, it was the out-of-place sound effect of him wiping out that would put me into uncontrollable fits of hysteria. I would literally have soda coming out of my nose while my friends shrugged and looked at me like I was special. Oh, and wipe out you will, due to the horrendous controls. Just the anticipation of the cat in the tux wiping out would get me giggling like a little girl. Would I laugh at it now? Probably not.... but back then, that was like comedy gold!

If we are talking intentionally funny, then i have to say super mario rpg (snes), Earthbound, Leisure Suit Larry, Katamari, and Star Control 2 (spathi crack me up). Oh, and Food Fight...used to play this on a cocktail cabinet at a resturaunt i worked at many years ago....much beer and much laughs playing this!
Violent funny, or maybe funny only to me, was the Mortal Kombat games early on... Fatalaties crack me up. Similarly, handing out some beatdowns in the GTA games is always amusing. Some of the stuff on the radio and the comments you overhear are quite funny too.

I thought Stupid Invaders on the DC was very funny. Also, the first Oddworld, on the PSX.

Disgaea Series for injokes, funny script, and pop culture references.
Monster Madness for being like a B movie, with laughable dialog and story.
Super Paper Mario if only for the otaku lizard, with his room of doom lol.
Shadow Hearts 1 & 2: It had plenty of dark humor and a goofy cast of characters.
Kid Dracula, just the concept for the game alone is enough to put a smile on your face.

Reservoir Dogs on PS2. The over-use of foul language and stupid lines made me giggle a few times just because of how stupid some of it is. Some of the cutscenes are remakes of the movies scenes and have a few jokes, though most are pretty stupid.
Mission Impossible on PS1. This game isn't trying to be funny, but the guards sound fucking stupid that it makes me laugh. For example, when a guard arrests me, he says in a funny voice "Hey, over there, freeze! You're under arrest!". Me and my friend were playing it one day, and I accidently crouched in front of a guard because the weapon select button and crouch button are right next to each other (I was playing the N64 version that time). We started cracking up, and you would have to be there to laugh to.

I would have to say earthbound , pretty standard answer I suppose. When you explore towns and talk to the inhabitants they just have some of the funniest dialogue I have seen in a video game. And some story elements in the game are pretty humorous.
Birdman attorney at law is funny , but what about the source material that it takes from? I am of course talking about Phoenix Wright and the Ace Attorney series. Alot of the dialogue is just hilarious when the game doesn't take itself seriously or when it isn't at a heavy plot point.

Super Smash TV for the SNES gets me smiling, not really laughing anymore...
the take on american consumerism/greed rampant in the early 1990's is great.
you win thousands of vcr's, microwaves, moniez, etc. in a "Running Man" survival-type game show while the Host of the show always has two bikini-clad 'Price is Right: porn-star edition' girls at his side. He screams things like "Big money! Big prizes, I LOVE IT!!!" and "I'd buy THAT for a dollar!"

Sam and Max season 1. "One country, under one rule! an iron fisted rule. one country. one rule. ONE RABBIT!"
well, it goes something like that anyway.
House of the Dead: Overkill is going to make people laugh. It has the funniest cut scenes I've ever seen.
I like the old ones:
X Man, chased through a maze by scissors or teeth
Amidar, you're a paint roller chased by pigs
Megamania, invasion of the hamburgers and cookies
simple fun days, sort of Buster Keaton humour
