Really surprised this hasn't been posted yet.

Looks to be a day 1 purchase for me if I have the funds, been stoked since the first game awaiting it's sequel. Sounds like a solid storyline with "Handsome Jack"

Dual weilding weapons should be quite asskicking also.

Thoughts?

I hope they fix the multitude of bugs the original had. But knowing Gearbox, they won't...

The thing I loved about the original the most was the local splitscreen and playing it with friends, huge selling point for me, had it not been included I wouldn't be buying it, but since it is and the HUD "one of my biggest complaints" has been streamlined for the split then it's a must buy.

Enemies being able to jump and climb terrain now is also really neat and the graphics look better as well as the animations. Loved the first, looks like i'll love the second.

Enemies glitching, spawning in impossible places, map markers not pointing where they should be, buggy physics, distances not being calculated properly...

I have never had a single glitch with the original Borderlands, neither has anyone I have ever played on-line with as far as I know.

Wah-Wah-Wah.

Awesome game. Oh I better stop posting I like it...

Silly me.

I never said it was a bad game. I enjoyed it. Good action, hilarious writing, great setting, and I was caught by surprise by the game on more than one time.

But Gearbox has really fucking lazy coders and QA.

I'm still trying to figure out how this happened:

Getting my copy in 3 1/2 hours of this post. At over 20 days on my saves in BL1 I can not wait. Running as Maya first then maybe Zer0.

So is anybody else playing this? I'm around level 20 right now, and I think that this is exactly what a sequel should be. Everything that Gearbox has changed has been for the better, I am having a blast. How's everybody else doing?

I would be. Unfortunately it got released at a bad time for me. Just bought Diablo 3, Battlefield 3+ premium and been throwing some money at my main MMO's and gonna save to get a Wii U at launch and also want to get Torchlight 2 and all my MS points bout to go to Prometheus (digital exclusive) atm, so I plan to spend close to a grand in the next couple months, plus christmas...

Borderlands 2 has fallen into the no-no time frame for me, lol. As much as I want it, just gonna have to wait. So much good stuff at one time, but that's the way it always happens right?

On ps3 you still cant chat online!!! Its an advertised feature on the box, but its not working making online play pointless.Gearbox lost me as a customer with the first one... they released shitloads of DLC and they never fixed voice chat... shows how much they care for fixing a major issue versus cash

I really only play gamecube and older, but have a badass computer for newer games.
I played the original Borderlands on PC and don't have any real complaints of bugs either.

I think Borderlands 2 is pretty awesome, but am I the only one that gets bored of the repetitive fights sometimes? Otherwise it's really fun as you reach level 15 or so and the fights become more varied. It starts off a bit slow. I don't see a ton of new features, but I haven't tried multiplayer.

Anyone here got the PS3 version? I'm looking for some good players to roll with.

I just beat this last night single player. I think I've enjoyed this more than the first Borderlands, which is saying something because that was my favorite game of this generation except Xenoblade. I've finished every sidequest in the game and beat it at level 35. I beat it with the gunzerker and I'm going to start up a game with the commando, because of the awesome feature they put in with the badass ranks going over to the other characters. Has anyone else beat the game yet? What are your thoughts? Better than the first?

I'm liking it so far and at around level 11 last I checked. Its really doesn't feel that different from the first one outside of the initial environment shift...and I really hope it gets away from the Arctic Tundra theme soon because its starting to drive me crazy.

Things that Bug me:
The New UI - Hard to get used to, preferred the old simple menu that was easy to use.
Driving Controls - PC: Mouse movement is both aim and steer with no option to adjust...why?????!?!?!?
Weapon Icons - GrenadeRifle-ish guns look exactly like assault weapons..annoying
Plot - At least the first one made sense from the get go. Handsome Jack doesn't want the Vault Hunters here and yet advertises for them to come to Pandora...?
