Hey guys, I am wanting to get the Vita Early Edition Bundle or or whatever it is called, mainly because I am purchasing Little Deviants, the Memory Card, and a case anyway. So I think I am only spending about $20 to $30 more anyway and I get it a week early. My question though is, will I need to activate the 3G on the system? I do not want to pay so much a month for 3G access, can I just never use it and not have to pay the extra, essentially making it a wifi model? Thanks for any help!

I'm under the impression that like a 3G iPad that the service is totally optional and pay-as-you-want/pay-as-you-go, I believe that you call AT&T and turn it on for a month at a time.
Not sure about whether or not they're going to nag you to set up/sign up for at least a month or so of 3G service when you buy that package though.
The unit will have Wi-Fi built in for sure, so no worries there.

That's what I'm thinking too. I plan on using nothing but WiFi anyway. Thanks for the help!

Good question, I was curious as well and did some research. Apparently in the states we will have to open a monthly sub from AT&T and it goes by monthly Data usage, there are 3 tiers with one of them being unlimited. I will probably opt for the WiFi model as I can't see myself paying per month for playing away from home.
