Flip Industries has bridged the gap between Kid Icarus (http://www.joystiq.com/game/kid-icarus-uprising)' upcoming 3DS sequel and its classic 8-bit charm with Super Kid Icarus (http://home.comcast.net/~superkidicarus/editor.html), a 16-bit remake of the title originally released on ye olde NES.
This Kid Icarus would have blown minds on the SNES, but now it's pretty, fun (pretty fun) and free to play in your browser.
