It used to be easy to make time for video games when I was younger (after school play games...) Now I have to work, maintain a social life (friends, parties, girlfriend, etc...) and on top of that college! Oi! It seems I have time for my GBA SP here and there, and thats about it!! Hundreds of games laying around, and no time to play them!! How do you guys "make time" for gaming???

"I can't hang out with chicks and go to parties AND play video games too! Wah!"

Geez, what a problem. Wait until your issues are that you work 11 hour days and have kids to take care of and are going straight out from 6am to 10pm and that is what is preventing you from gaming. That's what is preventing me from gaming. What I've done is basically moved away from any games that require a long amount of time to learn and master. I don't play any of the new systems (sometimes some n64) but for the most part my gaming now is MAME since arcade games are designed to only be a few minutes long by their nature... so when I'm walking by my MAME setup, I can just hit the quarter button, play a game or two, and then get back to putting out whatever fire has popped up in the 120 seconds I was gaming.

Unfortunately, I'm with Chadtower (except for the kid part.)

I have more games (new and old) than I could possibly ever play. Typically, I buy what interests me in the new stuff, in the hopes that I will have time. But usually, there is time enough for one game, so I choose one and live with it for a while.

It was Zelda, but that's completely done. The next adventure is Knights of the Old Republic.

If there was only more time (or if I was an insomniac.) O_O

You must make time young grasshoppa!!!!

I got a job, a wife, an 18 month old, a father in law recuperating from triple bypass surgery. I haven't had much playtime with my gamecube (it's in the living room) but a lot of my classics have been getting worn out (they are in the spare bedroom of doom !). I seem to make up alot of time on friday nights / saturday mornings after the baby goes to sleep though.

I have not been gaming much lately either. My solution to this was to buy an GBA SP (actually someone bought it for me). Now I can just take it out, play for 5 minutes, put it away and continue on with my day. I get more time with it on weekends, but a couple minutes to an hour sometimes is enough for me. :D

Now if I could just find a way to play it at work... I don't want any of my co-workers wanting to try it out, so I don't bring it.

Its hard with a job and kids as well as other interests. I will normally wait till all others are in bed..... and if my wife turns down my nightly advances i WILL THEN PLAY VIDEO GAMES LOL. The other thing I do now that my son is 6... is play lots of things he can play and likes, that helps get time in too. I also have the DVD entertainment package in my van that I give a weekly workout to. I drive my wife to a clinic out of town for a medical condition being treated and there is lots of waiting time. So I take my gamecube with me and play it in the van while I wait.
