The NES is a really fun system to collect for, or just buy what you like and play. I almost own half of the 768 released games myself, and got that way with relative ease. How many other people own at lease half (384) of the NES library or more?

I have almost a complete set. The only major games (big money) are Bonk's Adventure, Moon Ranger, Flintstones 2. The other 20 or so games I need are all cheap and crappy games which I plan on picking up when I see them in the wild. I have about a dozen of the "best" Sachen titles(some are fun). I also have about 20-30 repros and homebrews.

If I ever find Bonks, Moon Ranger and Flintstones 2 at a good price, I will finish the rest. Most of the other games are $1-3 titles.
I have been looking for Bonk's for 7 years at a good price. Unfortunately, it has only gone up. Anyone have a cheap one for sale? I have a ton of trades!!!

I set a limit of $5/game and have roughly 350 NES games, so I'm approaching the halfway point.

This. I bought a lot of games when Gamestop was clearing out their NES sections years ago. I also ended up with some mid range rarity games when another local store closed down. I am somewhere near the 400 mark the last time I checked.

Crap!

I'm not even close. I have almost 50 and I doubt I'll even get to the half way point.

I'm at 414 so I suppose I'm in as well. I'm really not aiming to collect everything though and I'm not above selling higher dollar titles if I'm not connected to the game (complete Casino Kid II a couple years ago, Power Blade 2 loose just a couple weeks ago). Somewhat like Flack if the game is cheap and I don't have it I figure I'll get a couple dollars enjoyment out of about any title on the platform.

I'm not quite there, but close to it if you count Famicom games as well. My goal isn't to collect everything, because the NES has a LOT of crappy games. The only crap games I want to collect are the notoriously bad ones such as Action 52.

So far I have 654 games for the NES.

I have every licensed game, though I sold off my unlicensed stuff this year. Add about 120 NES protos to that as well. So yeah, somewhere around 800ish in my collection.

When I was actively pursuing the NES set, I was up to nearly 700. Since then, I've chosen about 30-50 or so to keep, and I still have about 550 different NES games, albeit for sale via my website.

I am somewhere around the 700 mark. I think i need 35 licensed and around 15 unlicensed to finish the set. I don't ever expect to actually complete this set though.

I got lucky with my Bonk's Adventure. About a year or so ago, I purchased one off of Amazon for $80 shipped. The seller included the manual which wasn't mentioned in the description. Both the cart and manual were near mint - mint, and since I'm a cart only collector, I sold the manual to someone on NA for $45. So, $35 for a minty Bonk's Adventure, and I definitely recommend buying/playing as it's a fun game.

On topic, I have around 210 carts, but I don't plan on getting many more. I've got most of the fun, expensive ones save for Flintstones 2.

I'll stand up and be counted. I'm at 583 with the vast vast amount acquired locally on craigslist for dirt cheap. Which explains why I have very few of the expensive ones. I also have a couple homebrews and a proto. It is possible I'll put together a full set in my lifetime, but I'd say very unlikely. I'd have to find a few of the pricey games for cheap at which point I might start looking for the rest online. And even then it would certainly exclude SE and NWC, which I'd sell in a heartbeat if found and just get repros of instead. Already have an NWC repro just for kicks, actually. I guess I've made enough in this buy/sell/collect hobby since '07 that I could buy one of those biggies, but I doubt I ever would.

Between the NES and Famicom, I only have 99 games. And some of those I could do without, but I'm holding onto them for nostalgia's sake. I have no real desire to collect any more games for the console, as I collect to play, not collect - although I'm sure some would be baffled as to why I have games like Ghostbusters and The Adventures of Dino Riki while I'm lacking games like SMB3 and Zelda.

I have 630 NES games. I was aiming to collect the full US set but priorities have changed and I'd honestly be happy just getting copies of Final Fantasy and Dragon Warrior IV, weeding out the crap games, and calling it quits.

I’m close to half with 353 different games. To think when I started posting here mid 09 I don’t believe I had any NES games in fact every game I owned could fit on the Plexiglas carousel in the pic. In my sig. and now it’s overflowing with just NES games.

I currently need 70 more games to complete my licensed NES set. I figure I'll get there, or close eventually.

Never collected for NES, in fact I never got a NES system. I heard they have many problems with pin connectors.
I still find it strange that most collectors like to collect for that one.

I'm at 305 counting 5 Famicom games, games including Bonk (NES) which I managed to snag locally cart only for $20. I don't plan on getting everything, just what I like, that to get list is getting shorter slower these days though.

I only buy local, and only buy stuff I consider worth playing. I'm at 148. I've seen a lot more, but I don't see myself ever sitting down and playing titles like Anticipation.

Anticipation is actually fun if you play it with a couple friends. I wouldn't play a ton of it but a good time can be had.

I am a quarter of the way with 200 NES games with a modest handful of Famicom games (9, I think). There are only a few games that I truly want to add to the collection that I haven't picked up yet. At the moment, I've eased off collecting video games. I suppose that one day I'd like to have all of the official NES games (and a few choice unlicensed ones), but I'm more than happy to enjoy the games I have in my collection right now.

I've had fun with Anticipation too. It's kinda silly, facetious fun, but still fun nonetheless.

I'm not close to half, but it is my second biggest collection for any single system (after PlayStation) with 150-some (not counting around a dozen Famicom games). I'm kind of proud of the fact that the vast majority of my NES collection was bought in the wild (with the majority of those purchases coming from a no-longer-existing local store called Gamer's Edge and from GameStop back when they still had older stuff).

I currently have 560 NES games, so I'm way over half way. My goal is to buy every officially licensed North American game except for Stadium Events (unless I luck out and find it cheap at a flea market or something). Unfortunately, I may have to skip out on Flintstones: Surprise at Dino Peak as well. Even though I used to own it...I had to sell it a couple years back when I hit some financial trouble, and now the game sells for $400 to $500 on Ebay. As much as I love collecting, I just could never bring myself to spend that much money on a single game. The most I will spend on a game is around $150 tops.

I just need 6 (not counting NWC1990): Caltron/Myriad 6 in 1, Stadium Events, Cheetahmen II, Peek-A-Boo Poker, Bubble Bath Babes, and Hot Slots. Since those are the same 6 I've need for the last 5 years I don't think I will be completing the collection anytime soon.

I've got 180 titles according to GameTZ; not even close to halfway. ^^;

I would be more into NES collecting if it weren't so hard to come across CIB stuff. Well...CIB stuff that isn't jacked up to nosebleed prices. ;)
