Hey arcade junkies. I've been searching quite a bit to find a used DDR machine (any remix) in good condition. I used to be able to go to local arcades to find a for sale sheet from them, but the last arcade has went the way of the buffalo several years ago. I only found an X-2 machine for sale on amazon for $13k. Does anyone have experience purchasing a DDR machine? or know someone who has? Any info would be helpful as I'm having an awful time finding anything.

I've never purchased one but I've been window shopping them for 3-4 years now. When I first started looking at them, you couldn't even find one for under $6k. Now you could easily score an Extreme cab for $2k or less. ITG's are a lot pricier though, especially if they're dedicated cabs. If you wanted something *really* cheap, you could even get a Solo or PIU cabinet for around $1k.
Just keep checking ebay and craigslist. Most of the ones I see listed are either on the west coast or NY/NJ, so you shouldn't have much problems finding one locally.
I don't know much about Konami's 573 hardware, but I think as long as you get 3rd Mix or higher, you can swap them out with any of the other mixes.
