I couldn't decide where to put this. It's a new game (In the making 10 years), but old school as you can get. It has influences from all kinds of NES games. Sidescrolling, overhead, etc. http://abobosbigadventure.com/ Edit:Its awesome. On level 4 now, I LOVED the Ze...the awesome callbacks to games.

That's pretty good.. did any of you guys try climbing the wall glitch in the Double Dragon stage towards the end? It puts you in some secret mario sex room. LOL

Haha, this game is totally cool. The folks behind it did a terrific job, this is by far the most fun I've had with a flash game.

That was really awesome. I love I-Mockery.

Most fun I have had since their older title Domo-Kun Angry Smashfest! (http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/73449) and all its references to 16-bit games.

That was awesome. Would love to see that come out in cartridge form for the NES. I would buy it.

Anyone know how to beat the Zelda stage's boss?

This fight is easy to beat with the meat...weapon. There are 4 pillars, hit all four. Then, strike him when his shield disappears. Dodge his two orbs and or kill the enemies he casts out. Hit him a bunch, then he splits into three. Wait for them to do their spastic sword spin move, then pick one and kill it. Repeat 3x,

then the final fight..probably the real question here. Ive found out how to beat him easily. First, he does three different super attacks (when hes flashing he's invulnerable the entire time he does his sets of three attacks.)-First are the 'red x's', just wait in a corner. be ready to move though. His second is the waves that always start out going sideways, they are most always sideways beams first. Stand away and in a corner to dodge these. Then the third, is the straight beams. They always go left right up and down--again stand the opposite of you think they'll shoot to. Then after a series of three of these attacks, he'll be vulnerable for a hitting, and do that while backing away from him every few hits to him, (he moves to!) and repeat..It takes a little while but if you hit him lots like i described above, then he's easy.

I'm glad I downloaded this off the site so I can hang onto it. I can't imagine many companies being pleased that their IPs are being used.

But man, this game is fun. I found myself laughing at a lot of it. I'm anxious to try the other two options with Annie the mermaid. (BARF and MATE were hilarious)

I concur. I land on the green guy, he talks to me, and it looks like he has a force shield or something and he's not taking any damage, and at the rate I'm hitting him it'll take forever. Am I doing this right?

Yes, just keep on hitting him as the level scrolls, when you get to the end there's cutscene and then a boss fight (with the green guy of course... Swamp Thing?). I don't think that the boss fight is dependent at all on how much you hit him. I think the point of the Balloon Fight segment is just to get to the end of the level.

Also, I managed to cuss my way through the entire game! Lots of FUUUUUUs to be had here! Especially on the final boss fight and the final level. This game is amazing, and I loved the sheer number of NES game characters featured in it.

This is pretty fun so far, I just got to the Zelda stage. Anyone else notice during the opening intro that the character standing in the doorway changes each time you start the game?

I always loved the Newgrounds stuff. Add in a game with NES characters and it makes things even better (and nostalgic)! I hadn't been there in quite a while, so this game reminded me to go back!

Amen! Screw playing this with the keyboard.

Games like this and Super Mario Bros. Crossover are magic- pure and simple.
