Hello. I have some Commodore 64 games that I can't find any info on. I tried to post pics but I have dial-up.

Anter Planter by Romik Software

Doodle and Paint 64 by Golden Disk Software

Forbidden Castle by Golden Disk Software

Ghost Mansion II by Golden Disk Software

They are all in the same type of box, a square white one with a picture. They all also only come with one disk.

Another thing. These might be from Germany.

Does anyone know what these are? I would like to know if these are rare or not.

Golden Disk is definitely a German publisher, although by the looks of it, I think some, if not all, are German rereleases of the US originals. Having said that, I can't find a Forbidden Castle in Gamebase64, so I might be interested in having that off you to preserve. Will check if we definitely need it, and it isn't in the queue awaiting to be added.

I don't really enjoy selling games I don't have more than one of, but if you give me a good amount of cash I may reconsider. It would be nice to complete the C64 databases. I can't guarantee that they work as I have no C64 floppy drive.

I got these from a guy who once lived in Germany. They were probably in storage for a while as they smell musty. These are just a few of the games he gave me.

He also gave me another disk that is interesting. It looks homemade, and is labeled Mario III. This one also smells smelly.

You might try http://www.lemon64.com/. They are dedicated to the C64. Hope this helps.

I tried that already. The only game there is Anter Planter, and it has different boxart.

Thanks anyways :)

Anter Planter was originally released by Romik in Canada, so I imagine that's the original version detailed at Lemon/GB64. These appear to be German releases of the games.

I've heard back from the main guy on the GB64 project, and we don't have Forbidden Castle. If you don't wish to sell, would you be willing to loan the disk out for preservation? There are people in the US you can send the disk to, so it doesn't have to be me here in the UK.

Will I get the disk back? Anyone in Canada? Who pays the shipping?

Do you have the other disks too? I could ship the Golden Disk disks and the Mario III one.

Now back to the original question, What's it Worth?

Almost impossible to say for a game with no real history of auctions to compare to.

It really will depend on the time and who happens to want it. I don't however see huge bidding wars over them.

I got a 1541 drive a while ago. These are Canadian rereleases of the games, from what I've found on the disks. The Mario III one is just a hack of Giana Sisters with Mario sprites. Still awesome though.

I would say that these would probably sell for about $1 each, as the ones I tried don't work. The Mario III one is just a copied disk so it is probably worthless.
