Thought I would point everyone to an interesting topic going on over at The Cover Project right now. There's a guy that want's to start making custom game cases for all systems that are the same size as Universal Game Cases but fitted for NES, SMS, SNES, Genesis, N64 & 32x Games. He even wants to make custom long style DVD cases that fit Sega CD & Saturn games with their manuals and CD Jewel Cases and DVD Cases that fit TG16 Cards, HuCards and Sega Cards. Also he's looking into custom handheld cases for GB, GBC, GBA, GameGear and Lynx. And I even suggested Atari systems, Colecovision & Intelivision down the line. Pretty much if he gets enough orders to start each custom mold, he will be selling custom fitted cases that all of us could use for our loose games without the boxes and will be able to hold the manuals.

Here's the thread about it in the Cover Project Fourms:

And his personal website where he already sells HuCard Sleeves

Bummer, I just ordered some UGCs.

Thanks for posting this. I'll jump on this like stink on a skunk. Hopefully he makes the N64 cases with provisions for the memory cards.

Sounds great.

I am very happy with UGC so they would need to be significantly better to get me to pick up some of those. However I am very interested in "longbox" styled DVD cases for my SCD/Saturn Games. Thanks for pointing this out.

So the kickstarter for this project is starting some time soon. I personally cannot wait to have cases for NES games that don't need to be modified. Having to cut apart UGC is murder on my hands.

There's an easier way to cut those damn tabs out than with the pliers. However, I'm waiting for these. It will be nice to have a case we don't have to modify. Plus, it looks like he's adding some nice extra features over the UGCs.

Seymor is working SUPER hard to make sure that his cases will accommodate just about EVERYTHING! Hopefully hey can make 'em happen :D
