Hey guys, I have been using Rosetta Stone for Japanese and I'm very happy. I'm learning fairly quick, but it doesn't change the fact that Kanji is still pretty tough for a new learner. I know there are a few DS games that teach kanji at all levels, but they are only in Japanese...the beginner level though I was told would be good for me as its for young children first learning Kanji and basic Japanese is all I'd need to know.

So I'm wondering..does anyone know of any other games out there? Japanese or English...also are there any games you guys know of that teach it through the game? if that makes since..instead of it being a game based on teaching you kanji...its actually a game that teaches kanji along the way.

On a similar note, some notable retro RPGs use no Kanji at all, or a reduced number of them.(Due to old space limits)
I would suggest any of the final fantasies 1-4 and Dragon Quests 1-5(no kanji)

I wrote about this a while back on Reddit if you interested.
