Anybody think the Resident Evil misprint will be worth anything? Typical misprints don't tend to bring in much do they? The only misprint I can think of (and not a "Game X on disc for Game Y" misprint) would be the FFVII raised "i". What is the value of that?

I doubt it. It sounds like it's the entire first print run, kind of like Okami. In fact, I don't think they ever did a second print run of Okami with corrected inserts.

Didn't Capcom have replacement inserts as mail order requests only?
Anyway uh, yeah. That typo's here to stay.

They said that only the first run will have the error and they are giving out inserts to people who request them. I'll just buy the version with the spelling error, request a replacement, and switch out the cover. I'll save the misprint as a reminder of how often Capcom messes up.

It might hold a little extra value if they turn a second print run quickly. It'll calm down soon enough. Most of these errors don't lend to greater values unfortunately. Crazy completionist collectors will care, the other 99% won't give two shits. Okami Wii didn't jump in value, and i've still never seen a single 'fixed' insert on any copy of the game. The fixed insert is by far much rarer in that case.

With an error this big, could be worth something ... but as Capcom didn't care for a recall of those misprinted covers, there should be plenty of them in the market

The final fantasy VII misprint sells for a bit more than the reg edition.
In case no one knew that. . .
And there was an Okami misprint?

I emailed them days ago and still haven't gotten a response about a replacement.
I probably should keep emailing them, I am sending it to exactly where they want it...

Yeah, the Okami misprint is pretty much the funniest one ever. The cover art has an IGN logo watermarked on it (or worked in somehow). Basically it seems as though whoever made the cover art just googled for an image and took the one off IGN to use.

And there was an Okami misprint?Yes, but that's because FF7 fans are... pretty special.

It'll be worth $49.99 for awhile, then $39.99, then $29.99, then $19.98.
