I was looking on kijiji and saw that someone was selling a loose copy of earthbound for $135.

Is that too much?

Yes.. by at least $20

Depends on if you want to play it or resell it. I've seen cart only go as high as $150. I'd offer the guy $100 and if he doesn't bite, just keep looking.

I'm not going to shoot him an offer. Sure I want the game badly but whatever. Hopefully I get lucky one day and find it in the wild.

I bought one, in a bundle of SNES games and console for $80. Including SMW, Aerobiz, ect, so they're out there, keep looking.

Why not? What's the worst that can happen? He says no? You don't get deals unless you try. In a local market, sellers may be more flexible on their price than you think.

So... why did you ask about it? I don't mean to come off sounding rude, but unless you were interested in buying, there doesn't seem to be a point to this thread. You can easily look on Ebay and see what the game is selling for.

Agreed. This guy seems to be trolling. His plan seems to be to find it in the wild for nothing which is possible however unlikely, but if that's the plan, why does it matter what the fair market value would be?

The only reason I posted this, is because I thought a loose copy with worth about 80 - 90 bucks. When I saw that 135 bucks I was like wtf that can't be right and that guy must be an idiot. But whatever. Thank you guys for clearing stuff up.

I found 2 boxed ones for $4 each. Then I traded/sold them for things I really wanted. That was a good day.
