ADVENTURE GAME OF THE YEAR 2011
The Legend Of Zelda is a series that personifies "adventure". There's typically little else to do in the realm of Hyrule other than to go adventuring in some way/shape/form.
The latest entry in the series had gamers adventuring in Skyloft with the aid of Nintendo's Wii Motion Plus technology. The result was a more immersive motion controlled experience and a game built from the ground up on a console old enough for developers to take advantage of every aspect of what the hardware has to offer.
Zelda fans were treated to a beautiful looking and highly original chapter in Link's ongoing (non-linear) exploits.
Zelda fans on Digital Press liked it enough to call it the Adventure Game Of The Year!
