Hey guys,

Might be old news, but Googling didn't provide much help. I found this variant of the original Game Boy from a German seller on eBay: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/190568841880?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

Are these particularly rare? Are they a common sight in Germany or Europe at large? I think I have seen these once or twice before in the past 20 years, so I doubt this has had it's buttons replaced but...is there a chance this has been modified? Or did Nintendo officially sell these? What years were they available?

It's not often I come across a Nintendo hardware variant I don't know about so your help would be appreciated!

Slightly less common than the grey, I saw 4-5 of them today at 2 stores and they just sit there. Factory sealed with warranty card $70+ loose 5$ if the screen is bad $20-$30 if the screen is good especially if boxed.
Edit: They are called the "Play it Loud" series.
Edit 2: finely got it to load, that isn't what I thought it was. There is a good chance it might be a case mod of some kind. It seems that Nintendo wasn't limited edition happy at the time as the only one I can find is not even close.
