Two new books that I contributed on will be published this year.

The first is Before The Crash: Early Video Game History. This is a collection of essays concerning the state of videogames before the 1983-1984 crash. It's coming out in May. $27.95

The second is the two-volume Encyclopedia of Video Games: The Culture, Technology, and Art of Gaming. This one comes out on August 31. The price? A mere $189

It's two volumes and almost 800 pages. That's pretty comprehensive. I might actually buy that, despite the price. The only thing that will most likely disappoint me about it will be the lack of information on the use of video games to teach English around the world. There have been lots of scholarly articles written in this area, even books.
