Hi guys. So with so many ps3, and 360 games needing patches to be functional do they include them on 2nd and onward printings of the discs? you would be sort of screwed if they didnt and you didnt have internet access.

well in a sense, that would depend on the game whether you'd be screwed bor not. If your Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 system couldn't go online, It wouldn't even know there was a patch for the game and it would just let you play the game in its original, unpatched form.
where you would be screwed is if the thing the patch fixed was a gamebreaking glitch.

Thanks Rickstilwell1, Thats what i was thiking. The game that made me think about it was twisted metal for the ps3. It has some pretty bad issues. The online is broken for the most part and either wont load or crashes on older ps3's. I also heard it's crashing a few slims as well.

Well, if all that is broken is the online then you wouldn't be able to play online if your system was offline only anyway. If 1 player games had problems bad enough where there was a glitch you couldn't undo then that would be bad and any company who would release a game like that needs more or better game testers.
It would be good if someone could actually answer your questions about the discs. Do they have a Rev 01 or Rev 02 disc for games like they did with versions on game cartridges back in the day. Remember when nintendo took out the level warp cheat in DKC?

I don't think in general they change the disc pressing images, since it seems like it would be kind of a hassle; but Idon't know for sure to be honest. The kinds of games I do see that come out with all the patches/etc are the Game of the Year editions that also bundle in the DLC and such for a bit cost savings.

I know back when I was into PC gaming it depended on the company: some would, some wouldn't.
It might be the same deal here.

Some do. Certain PS1 and PS2 games had bugfixes applied in later versions, especially in Greatest Hits ones.

Don't bother with Twisted Metal unless you're interested in offline or online multiplayer.
