One of the largest communities for old game downloads is gone now, i wish I didn't know what was going on but I do.

"We got hacked and they deleted all the files. Since it could've been the old forum version we used I tried installing a newer version of the forum software, but the database wouldnt work with this version (i have an old backup from nov, 2011). Thus I was forced to put this forum up. Not sure what we'll do.
Eitherway, I've decided not to put the trade up backup. There's just too much risk involved these days with the lurking ACTA. I've got a family and cant risk getting sued and/or going to jail."

It can't be too big a deal. My favorite rom site is one that's based in Russia so probably won't be getting hacked or problems anytime soon. That particular site has two sites that are nearly identical in the rom section just in case anything happens to one. It also doesn't have forum membership that causes limits on downloads like most other sites do.

Just another ROM site in a sea of ROM sites. They come and go, such is the nature of the internet.

I've said it once before in another website, and I'll say it again:
Sites like these are like crackhouses. Take one down, and another invariably pops up to take its place. SOPA/ACTA/Whatever flavor of the month law won't change this. ARRRRRR, matey! :vamp:
