The GameFAQs character battles are inevitably dominated by Nintendo and Squaresoft. Thus, Donkey Kong will probably defeat Vyse, proving once and for all that classic gaming icons are superior to bland RPG heroes.

Seriously, he's my favorite bad guy. No one else I've seen in a game can hold a candle to him. The only other person who can get close would be Luca Blight from Suikoden II.

They both delight in doing nasty evil things like poising rivers to kill innocents to take a castle, making people beg for their lives by acting like pigs and killing them anyway, doing away with people who serve for them, serve OVER them, and even their own family members, and having diaboticaly evil laughs. :)

That's why he got my vote. In that round, Pac-Man never had a prayer.

It's a CHARACTER BATTLE, not a GAME battle :) Can you honestly say Frogger was a more interesting and better character than ANY RPG Character? Of course not. That's why it's predominantly RPG and Nintendo games, better developed characters.

I really like these character battles. I agree with starcade that usually you can predict the winners, but I like voting for the "ETs" in the battle sometimes. Ive also been voting at www.planetnintendo.com/ff1 for a while, it's a battle between all the Final Fantasy 1 characters. I was rooting for the talking broom, but it wasnt meant to be :( That one is near the end and doesnt get updated daily like gamefaq's.

This second character battle scraped up all the characters that will make you say "Who???" The first time they did it, they actually had mostly really well known characters. And it sucked the first time, too, so you know it must be really bad this time around.

Gamefaqs is nothing but a place for whiny adolescents that love RPGs. Most of them never get out of the house, they just sit and play Final Fantasy Whatever over and over again, and post on the Gamefaqs boards when they aren't.

I cared about the character battle last year, until I realized that most of the voters don't know who the older characters are. This year I couldn't give a flying fuck.
