Just thought i would let you guys know that those new boxed dreamcasts found in recent years are refurbs(i think). I bought the one listed on amazon now and it was marked as new. Everything was new except the console, which had light marks and one of the rubber feet torn off. Also, the vent area shows discolor as if it was used. pretty lame

Are they being sold by Amazon or a seller?

Also you can get your money back by reporting this to Amazon. :P

this is actually my second time trying for a new dreamcast through amazon. someone in an older thread i made sade they bought 2 from the same exact link on amazon i got mine from. I sold the first one and tried again, only to get another haha. They wouldnt return it without paying a bunch of fees and stuff so i just kept it.

From what I have read, Amazon generally almost always sides with the buyer on this kind of thing, and they do have the option of refunding you and subtracting the money from the affiliate's account with them.

Don't take it up with them. Take it up with Amazon.

They basically forced me to refund something to a buyer after he claimed his item never arrived, when it did. So you can get your money back regardless of what that guy said.

I don't know that Amazon is that buyer biased, but I can tell you that if you have a problem with a marketplace seller, they will investigate and even look at pictures or other info you send them. I had some guy who sold me what were allegedly mint sealed PSOne games that arrived used and broken who actually tried to fight giving me a refund claiming that I had somehow switched what he sent me for damaged goods. Amazon sided with me, but I believe they limit you to 3 or 4 claims of this type for life. In most cases, the buyer will simply refund the money if you return the item rather than risk getting kicked off Amazon. You may be liable for return shipping, however.

One thing I have to point out is that I would assume they weren't new in the first place.
