So I picked up a copy of Final Fight CD & the Sega CD for free recently. Unfortunately, the I am lacking the power adapter for the CD player. With this being the case, I want to know if ya'll think Final Fight CD is a kick ass enough version of the game to merit buying the power adapter? I have the Super Famicom version of the game (Hello, Poision & Roxy! Bye bye, Billy and Sid!) thanks to Secret Santa extraordinaire, DDCecil, so I want to know if I should bother with this version? There are no other games for the Sega CD I want to play, as I'm not a big Genesis man, so purchasing the power adapter would be mostly for this game and the novelty of having a working Sega CD. I feel like it would probably be better off buying Final Fight 2 for the SNES for around the same price...

Hey! Speaking of the two sequels to Final Fight, which of the two games do you think is the better game? I have 800 Wii points burning a hole in my Wii's pocket and I was considering buying one of them. Also, is there any difference between the Super Famicom and SNES versions of these games?

1. Take Final Fight CD in Hand.
2. Place in Computer CD Drive, Close Drive.
3. Open iTunes or preferred Music Program
4. Copy music Tracks Over.
5. Click Track "West Side"
6. Crank Volume, Sing along with vocalist.

You're welcome.

I'd imagine Final Fight 3 is an easier game since it includes the option to play with an AI-controlled second player. (in addition to a human second player, or play without assistance if you want)
I'd probably buy FF3 on VC, but just because it has a bigger price disparity over the physical version.

I haven't played the English version of FF2. Wikipedia says the two female enemies in the Japanese version were censored out of the English version, but my friends says he's pretty sure he remembers seeing them in the English version.

Final Fight 2 is okay.

BUT I HATE FINAL FIGHT 3. Completely pointless sequel that didn't need those extra super moves. And for some reason the music REALLY bugged me.

Stick to the Sega CD version, it's awesome. I wish it was available on the Wii.

Final Fight CD is supposed to be the best home version of the game available, I'm hoping to find a copy myself to experience it first hand.

I always wondered why people hated Final Fight 3. It's one of my favorite beat-em-ups of all time. The extra moves added a lot to the game when things got monotonous, as they often do in beat-em-ups. Also, lol @ poll options.

Hahahahahahahahahhaha!!! Dude, I totally missed that!!!! ^^; My wife was hasslin' me to go to the store to grab some food type stuff before the grocery store closed so I hurried the post.

Apparently, we're unable to edit poll questions. Hehe... oh well. F*ck it. I voted. :wink 2:

I vote for Final Fight 3 over Final Fight 3. :P All joking aside, Final Fight 3 is my favorite of all of the Final Fight games.

I personally prefer Final Fight Final Fight 2 before 3, if the bar is pretty special, but beyond that.

Last night I emulated both FF2 & FF3 for about 5 minutes each. If I had a buddy to play them with, I'm sure they'd be much more fun, but I think I'll spend my 800 leftover Wii points elsewhere.

Final Fight CD is the reason that I bought the sega cd in the first place. Listen, it has all the levels from the arcade version, all of the enemies (even though the females are a tiny bit censored), all 3 characters, the 2-player option, and a new area when playing the time attack mode. The soundtrack is also amazing! Shelve the SFC version, go to Radio Shack and get a universal power adaptor with a voltage selector, play FFCD on your sega and move on with your life.

Also, FF3 all the way. Special moves, Super moves, the ability to run, unique weapon attacks, multiple paths and multiple endings. Screw FF2 and it's oh-look-it's-Chun-Li-in-the-background gimmick.

Hahaha! I never realized until your post the void in my life left by having an inadequate version of Final Fight. Awesome...

Just a heads up, most universal adapters are too underpowered to power Sega consoles. Most of them are just 300mA while an original Sega adapter I believe is 1.2A. Those univeral adapters might work for awhile but they'll run super hot and might kill the console.

You will sleep better, your relationships will be better and food will taste like it never has before! I'm telling you...FFCD is just that magnificent!

I should've said 'use a universal adaptor at your own risk' hehe! Sounds like I got lucky....I used mine for 8+ years without a problem.

To answer the topic question:

If you're a Sega CD enthusiast and love Final Fight, yeah it's worthwhile. It is the best home version of the game, besides the version available on Capcom Classics Collection volume 1.

It's been so long since I played Final Fight 2, and I've never played Final Fight 3.

By the way, you've got FF3 listed twice in the poll.
