I've been obsessively playing Wario's Woods for SNES lately. Perhaps it's relieving the stress I feel for the thesis deadline approaching. I need to combust Wario's falling minions with my colored bombs.
I must have played level 85 more than 100 times. Finally, I got the right drops and made it to level 90 (it saves in increments of fives). But come on? Is this possible? I'm close to putting the game in the closet and calling it done. Unless I know it's possible ...

Amazing. I think I only ever had time to go up to 40 as a kid. I am currently playing a similar type of game. Sonic 1 & Knuckles (aka Blue Sphere). I am currently wondering just how far I could possibly make it.

I believe it doesn't actually end, just runs out of new levels. Past level 100 is fairly difficult and repetitive IIRC.

It doesn't end? That's going to be the death of me, I know it now. I'll be found with my hands clenching the controller, just a mummified body in a small apartment. They'll say, "Well, he finally made it to level 95, but he never did finish his thesis."
I have to make it to 100 now, just to see what happens next. There's only room on the screen for levels up to 100, so I wonder where it goes from there. Would it just start over on a new leaf? (All the level numbers are listed on leaves)

This video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zrkXSIoZqJ4&feature=related) suggests that there are unique levels all the way up to 255, at which point you just keep replaying 255 despite however many times you beat it. Sounds kind of like that's hell for the obsessive Wario's Woods player, really.

Thanks for the link. I can't believe someone could make it that far. He (or she) deserves the handle "WarioWoodsPro." That's absolutely insane and now I actually feel less desire to finish level 100. For now.
