I pulled out the old Super Nintendo the other day, and was talking about it with the guys in the shop. My friend told me that you can buy translated SNES games that were only released in japan. My favorite game for the SNES is secret of mana, and I knew there was a sequel called Seiken Densetsu 3 witch I would love to get a translated cartridge for my SNES!!! Do these game exist???? I know I can download an rom on my computer, but I would really like to get a cartridge version. Where can I find something like this????

They exist. Seiken Densetsu 3 may not be available today. Some of the people who make translated cartridges are away I think.
Don't be alarmed at their higher price. Translated cartridges take extra work due to installing circuit chips, label printing, etc.

If you're curious yes. American SNES is amazing easy to upgrade for japan games. 10 minutes no screwdriver involved. It isn't the prettiest looking way, but can't be seen anyway whenever a game is inside or the door shut. So basic even I succeeded twice.

That similar idea (more challenging) works on our Nintendo 64 as well. I've yet to attempt this myself, had somebody else do it.

Thanks! Id still love to own one, but perhaps a copy from Japan is the best bet. Thank you for the info. I had no idea it was that simple!

No problem. I've heard it allows Korean games too, though only collectors would have much reason to care. These consoles got little new content there. The majority are uninteresting hybrids. English game text with edited labels and Japan shaped cartridges. Boring.
