Having gotten back into playing my PSP, which I've hardly touched in the last 3 or 4 years (if that), I want to get the best basketball game, football game, baseball game, etc, etc. Now, most people would say to just go get the newest version of each sport. Like NBA 2K12 for Basketball or MLB 11 The Show for Baseball. However, I know that new isn't necessarily better. Especially with the fact that PSP games sell pretty horribly at retail (with all the piracy), I'd have to imagine that some of the newest sports games are just quick roster update type things, and might not necessarily have the best gameplay. What I mean is, if Fifa 09 is the best playing soccer game on the PSP, with the best playability and flow, I could care less that it's 3 or 4 years old. So, newer isn't necessarily better. Having said that, if the newest game is the best one, then that's fine too.
Gamestop is doing a B2G1 this weekend, so I was thinking of trying to pick up a bunch of used PSP sports games on the cheap. So, I'm trying to figure out which ones to go after before their sale is over. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also, if anybody knows of a PSP forum that is still very active (even after the Vita launch), then let me know about that place, so I can register and do a post there. I'm guessing not that many people still play their PSP's with regularity, so I might need to go to a PSP focused forum to get the skinny on the best sports games to roll with. Thanks....
