Hi, I was wondering if the Bio-Force Ape repro is from the original prototype, or if it is the spoof one that was made after the infamous thread on this very forum. Also, who made the cart? Was it something you put together, or did it come from gamereproductions, nesreproductions, etc.? Lastly, is that $15 shipped? Just curious because I've seen it listed for awhile and thought someone would have bought it by now. I hope to hear back from you soon, and have a great day!

BTW, you need to clean out your inbox because this was originally a PM, but it didn't go through. I'd appreciate a reply via PM whenever you see this.

Im assuming its the 3 level demo version (aka The Original prototype). There is no dump of the fan produced rom, that means no repros and the only carts of that out there definitely have labels.

Can't find the fane man game myself as much as I'd like to. I put it together myself and shipping is extra. My inbox has been cleared out.

Each. I clean everything best I can and make sure the sticks are in good shape. Wouldn't want to sell off a dreaded "limp stick" controller.

I shipped to Argentina last week and I may be shipping to Norway later today. Not many countries I'm not willing to ship to though much of South America and Africa tends to lose packages shipped as cheaply as possible (no way to track it and many of these countries have corrupt postal systems).

The Dreamcast is in good shape overall but there is some slight damage to one corner. A friend of mine has another that is in great shape overall but has some yellowing that can be reversed.

I belevie your right on that, How much for the overclock and s-video mod?

yeah 32X uses the RGB lines to operate. that working shows they're good.

of course it means you'd need an external s-video box, or mod both, for every game to benefit. 32X will ignore an s-video mod on the genesis side. while master system games don't work on 32X.

APE992

I believe your right on that, How much for the overclock and s-video mod?

$30 for both with parts included. That is on top of the Genesis itself unless one is provided.

I'm always open to trades, currently looking for Pokemon games. Mainly the GBA iterations but I am looking for Yellow as well as Crystal/Gold/Silver.

"Stereo" installation at the moment. If you can find a mod you'd like done I'd happily handle it.

Well we need to study controller pinouts to be sure. Or it won't work. I pieced together a hasty mockup of the concept.
If my hunch is right, minimal cost would combine Famicom's benefits with AV Famicom's for a generally better console than either. Outcome breaks down like so...

Pros over Famicom:
no more wire sticking out
controllers become removable with longer cords
NES ports
composite video

Pros over AV Famicom
eject button and RF built in
I've read newer systems make Akumajou Densetsu sound somewhat off

APE992

The wiring would be easy to figure out if I had access to a Famicom and I've got plenty of NES hardware to play with. The only concern I'd have is properly mounting NES controller ports as I haven't much idea where to get a set (aside from another NES) and my case modding skills are a bit rusty. I'd definitely want to practice on some acrylic first.

07-11-2012, 05:00 AM
Hmm. You might have a point, NES ports attached like my mockup would look rather bizarre. Goes against the standard of virtually all console makers.

Thanks for your time.

Sorry I didn't notice this until nearly a month later. My asking price for a Saturn BIOS install is $25 with parts included. I don't have the equipment necessary to do a BGA reball but I can replace the xclamps on a 360 with better gear if that sounds appealing at all. It isn't anywhere near as good as a BGA reballing but it is a lot cheaper and worth a try.
